The cut reunites the ‘We Found Love’ collaborators and has enjoyed immense success in doing so – reaching #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 in the UK.
In a bid to push the track even higher and cement it as a club staple, its accompanying visual makes a direct bid to the dance crowd. Strobe lighting and all.

I know Rihanna will be fine on the singles chart, what I’m frustrated with is her lazy performance in several videos she’s released lately. Also, I personally disagree with “We Found Love” and “S&M” being generic songs. They both are millenia dance classics thus far and the impact of each track, particularly the former, speaks for itself.
I only expected Rihanna to look a little more lively in a video that’s centered around her. By the second half of the video she looked so uninspired. I respect your position on S&M and WFL, but again, I find those songs to be generic. I don’t care about chart placement (when it comes to a song’s likability, that’s something I only measure a form of success with) this goes for my favs as well! Imo, this song featuring Rih is better than both of those songs we’ve mentioned.

Did you all really expect a high-budget video with multiple locations and 10 outfit changes for an EDM song? She was on tour when this song/video was shot and it’s not even for her own album. We have to be greatful that she’s even in the video, and it’s not just a collage of models walking aimlessly around a swimming pool, because you know how it is with DJ videos nowadays (just like how Beyoncé isn’t present in “Running”).

This was a cute video. It’s not meant to be a huge production. She doesn’t have to dance – she’s not really that type of artist. The girl has the type of voice that can go on anything, that’s her strength. The frustration with her makes sense, but that also assumes she wants to get to a certain level, above where she is now (which is one of the biggest artists in the world).
Her team did a great job molding to her strengths . That plus her voice and star power means she never has to dance a step in her life.
