At 90 years old, Jazz icon Tony Bennett has quite literally seen and done it all. However, as he celebrates his birthday, he has revealed that he still has desires for a collaboration with music’s reigning queen, Beyonce.

The revelation came during a sit-down with the TODAY Show this morning.
First praising Lady Gaga – who he earned a Grammy with for their Gold-certified duet LP ‘Cheek To Cheek’– Bennett said of his dream of teaming with Bey:
“I like that Beyonce. She’s terrific. She’s got her eye on the ball”
In a separate interview with Billboard, the living legend confirmed that he’s set to return to the studio with Gaga for another project at the beginning of next year. As for why it’s not earlier? He says “she’s busy right now” – a playful nod, it seems, to the current recording of her comeback Pop album.

Anyone remember Bey’s Jazz medley in Vegas? She sounded amazing and did an impromptu cover of Ella Fitzfergald’s “Aint Got that Swing” during Deja Vu. Her entire performance during the I Am… Yours concert was one her strongest to date (mind you, she was sick with the flu and still slayed all of the basic bītches in music today). Beyonce touched on Jazz when she did her duet with the legendary Luther Vandross, but I would love for her to do a full on Jazz song.
