Tinashe wowed with the dynamite delivery of dance in the video for new single ‘Superlove’ and now she’s inviting the masses behind the scenes to see her process.

The rising star has released footage from rehearsals for the Hannah Lux Davis visual and it makes for a compelling watch.

Together with her fellow “Bae Watch-ers,” Ms. Kachingwe sassily dips, pops, and drops under the watchful eye of choreographer Jaquel Knight.

As keen appreciators of “performance,” it’s great to see an act and their team have have the same love and emphasis.

See what we mean below…

Werk!

Tinashe’s long-awaited sophomore album ‘Joyride’ drives into stores in October.

    fuxin body!

  2. BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 August 22, 2016

Yes Tinashe you better werk! I really like “Super Love” & the video really won me over. She has the potential to really be the next “black it girl” to pop off after Bey, Alicia, & Rihanna but everybody isn’t meant to be a star ?

    • jdek August 22, 2016

potentially…However she’s gonna have to put in some serious serious WORK. You can’t just become a rihanna, Alicia and so on over night.

      • BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 August 22, 2016

I agree. Rihanna, Alicia, and “so on” put in a lot of work. Not all artist have breakout success, I see Tinashe hopefully popping off on her 3rd attempt like Rihanna did.

      • jdek August 22, 2016

and you only get so many before you end up like rita… I’m praying her team can figure it out. She truly has potential.

      • BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 August 22, 2016

If Tinashe stays focused on music and doesn’t try to do too many side ventures I think she will pop off eventually. I think that’s why Rihanna took off after her 3rd stint. It gave her time to figure out her sound, style, identity and she didn’t take the “model route” she stuck in there.

      • jdek August 22, 2016

Exactly! The problem is her team trying out all these sounds and having none of them stick. I personally don’t think superlove is lead single material it’s cute but we all know she needs to come harder if she wants status.

      • Danzou August 22, 2016

i want tin to win but she wont if they dont play her cards right. she keeps switching her image. remember when she was wearing scarves like erykah badu being all deep and afrocentric then start acting like a white girl to get the general public to pay her attention which was fake to me.

    • What Now August 23, 2016

      Agreed

  3. Abel Minaj (Arianator Barb) August 22, 2016

She looks good. She’s definitely improved her dancing and performance skills since 2 On.

That little kid in the back got an eyeful of booty lol hehe!

    • ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? August 22, 2016

I hope that “little kid” was of legal age. Just saying!

      • #TeamTinashe Stan August 22, 2016

Lol hehe only people with a brain knows he isn’t.
Definitely one of the dancer’ child.

      • ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? August 22, 2016

I know, sis. I just wanted to test you. Is that alright with you?

  5. Danzou August 22, 2016

I love ha dancing but heres my problem with tinashe…shes visually confused and subpar and i dont like the decisions she made image wise. Some of the choices were understandable but its obvious that her team is marketing her using her skin color to boost her into superstardom FOR WHITE PEOPLE. Shes starting to remind me of what jason derulo has been doing. Shes got real substance but being a pop girl doesnt mix with substance. She needs to take ciaras lane and release bangers with great choreography then perform them on white demographic programs.

    • BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 August 22, 2016

They tried the Ciara lane with “2 on” and after the urban sound wasn’t cutting it for her. Personally I think songs like “Super Love & Playa were good singles choices and videos. However everybody doesn’t pop off immediately some have late starts… However I think her time will come.

      • Danzou August 22, 2016

I disagree babe. @on was her lane. its her only platinum plaque. Her team is using her to make a platinum single then sell an album rather than let her be an artist with substance and develop loyal stanbases.

      • A&R August 22, 2016

Humm… I think could be the lane but Tinashe’s tru person doesn’t mesh well. I think a truly skilled person can learn to fake it but her true artist will surface and that’s when people will genuinely connect.

    • jdek August 22, 2016

yes to all of this @danzou

  6. Danzou August 22, 2016

I cant help but think of ciara when girls try hard choreography. lol theres just no comparison.

Ciara does her thang on that stage! Her facial expressions be like, “WHO performing next?” lol

      • Danzou August 23, 2016

@fancy I LOVE ha face when she dances!

  7. iSpeakTruthNoFallacy August 22, 2016

Yo listen to me when I tell you that I LOVE this girl! Not only is she unbelievably talented bubbling with potential, she’s truly a sweet and humble girl. I love seeing behind the scenes clips from her like this one, because her work ethic and hunger are inspiring. With that being said, I hate how much there’s a lack of support from her team. It’s like the label invested a little penny on this one video and stopped the promotion there. Man I wish she was under LA Reid as he knows how to develop black talent. RCA don’t give a damn about her and its disheartening.

    • DRAGGING4CIARA August 22, 2016

Well she’s always bubbling on the bubbling under chart, that’s for sure.

    • Danzou August 22, 2016

Yes so true. Shes a black woman and they are marketing her like a white woman i have been saying that for the longest. I feel like sevyn streeter even could benefit from tins team more than tin herself. The sad part is that they are using her light skin to sell her across pop demographics and honestly she wouldnt be where she is without her color. Its true.

  8. The Kpop Guy, Matt~ August 22, 2016

Tinashe has been around since when? Her label must really hate her to not utilize her properly

  9. FASHION_ICON ~ Anti&Lemonade August 22, 2016

She have talent but she lack of something that’s why she dont pop
Dont know what … maybe some mystery

  10. Adele’s Husband August 22, 2016

The choreography is so Ciara inspired. I’m not even a Ciara fan, but a lot of dance moves in this video, Ciara already did them. I’m sorry. Especially the body party move

    • Danzou August 22, 2016

Yep and to be honest most post-goodies choreography is. Chris and ciara rule choreography and honestly jason plus tinashe are watered down versions of them. Ihate when chris and ci dont get their credit.

  11. Royalkev August 22, 2016

Tinashe goes hard! She’s really good at what she does! I enjoy watching artists like her bring what they do to the table.

  12. MUSICHEAD August 22, 2016

When will RCA get it? Girls in the industry can only succeed if other girls want to be them. White girls can’t relate to Tinashe because she doesn’t have anything they want, unlike Beyonce who has the body & style and Rihanna who has the attitude and edge. Black girls can’t relate to Tinashe because she’s not original and lacks grit in her voice and sound. Black girls can’t be pip stars without an urban base to solidify them. Unfortunately, Tinashe is failing miserably with building a black fanbase. Ciara only fell off because she lost her black audience. She only gets platinum hits when she caters to urban radio. Get it together!

    • Danzou August 22, 2016

      true

    • Fancy BISH August 22, 2016

      Your comment is EVERYTHING!

  13. B_Roni August 22, 2016

Clearly some folks have not been following this girl when she was in the group the stunners who were founded by vitamin C. She acts like herself and has always acted the same. Secondly the girl is mixed with Irish and Danish. We all know she is black but she has been putting out this type of music as well as urban music for years. Spin the bottle sounds more pop than this. I don’t think she acts white or black. She is just Tinashe. Her label just needs to push her and promote. Even with all the hate Keri Hilson received she still had platinum hits and charted on the hot 100 cause they promoted the hell out of her. She was everywhere even after the so called Beyonce comment.

    • 4everBrandy_Ci August 22, 2016

Speak on it! Some people didn’t do their research on Tinashe. They just make assumptions without stating facts. So Tinashe is on the right track and with this new album she’s going to have a lot of exposure. I will get this woman’s album when it releases. She needs more support and people need to just respect her as her own artist.

    • Fancy BISH August 22, 2016

Her team should study Drake’s marketing…Drake truly has found a balance between urban and pop!

      • Danzou August 23, 2016

@fancy but drake is a man. Way easier for him.

  14. 4everBrandy_Ci August 22, 2016

This woman is a hustler with a lot of ambition. Tinashe has already set herself apart from other artist. The fact that she’s competing in the mainstream in order to get the general public’s attention concerns me. Ciara doesn’t get enough support. No matter what Ciara decides to do with her records she doesn’t get the recognition she DESERVES. And rightfully so Ciara needs BETTER promotion. She needs a BETTER management. And whoever said L.A. should manage Tinashe it’s a HELL TO THE NO. Ciara left Epic without having a full support system. And for people saying white people don’t relate to Tinashe and everything else about her background let me share my viewpoints.
Tinashe is African American and Irish. I don’t see her team marketing her as a “white” artist. Why the hell should people label this woman in a box. Let her do her OWN thing and just support her. At the end of the day Tinashe will achieve mainstream success. She has to continue to push and stay CONSISTENT. She really is on the right track because I was very concerned with the last singles she put out. “Player”, “Ride Of Your Life”, “Energy”, and “Party Favors” didn’t grab the mainstream’s attention right of the bat. She had to release a record like “Super Love” because mainstream is playing that more of pop/urban elements with a hint of dance. I know my stuff when it boils to Tinashe and followed her since her since day one. Of course she’s going to have to keep pushing to get more exposure. Regardless Tinashe is truly talented and I’m here for her every step of the way. #TeamTinashe

    • Danzou August 22, 2016

You’re not being realistic. Her music is urban from the gate. A pop girl can’t be black unless black people like her first because white people don’t support in the long run. They dish out artists like they did gaga after artpop and the general climate and politics change that’s when white people disregard an artist that black people still love. Kinda like how maxwell will always have a place at the bet awards because he’s in the culture but usher will too even tho usher is a pop star we still love him in the culture. Tinashe should’ve done what usher did and promote urban music to mtv VH1 so on and so forth.

      • 4everBrandy_Ci August 22, 2016

I am being realistic. It’s your opinion. Yes for example Janet Jackson did urban and got SUPPORT from her own people. When she did pop she still go SUPPORT. I already know about Tinashe’s catalogue because I listen to daily. Yes she’s urban but for her to tackle the pop route shouldn’t be a big deal. I know some people like “Super Love” and they mostly like urban records. My thing IS people that want Tinashe to thrive need to SUPPORT her. If not they need to move on. At this point she’s doing fine. I need for her promotion to be CONSISTENT while getting the album in rotation. With that being said I agree with some of your viewpoints.

      • Royalkev August 23, 2016

Wow, great points by both of you! Danzou, I believe what your saying is usually the best strategy to go with! Most crossover artists established a hardcore urban audience first, before going mainstream! That’s a formula that have worked for several decades and I believe it’s usually, if possible, the best way to start your career as a black artist with commercial appeal. You always have something to fall back on when the industry start bullshitting you!

In Tinashe’s case, I think she’s tried that approach. I’m not sure that’s taking off! I know she still can give that method time, but you do run the risk of becoming a Nicole Scherzinger or Cassie if you don’t strike a chord with people soon enough! There are so many politics in this industry now, that I just can’t fault an artists for trying new things! Tinashe is smart in making a switch with her image early on, but she’s at a point where she must choose a side to stand on or she’ll confuse the public!

As for Ciara, she’s an artist (whether she goes right or left) that just can’t win BIG right now! That’s also due to politics! It’s not hard to see why Ciara started out as one of the biggest artists of the last decade! She’s have what it takes! She’s a showstopping performer, video slayer, even versatile artists (capable of handling Pop and Urban material equally), but people love to give some folks the business! I’m just glad that Ciara was accomplished before the decline (some people don’t even find her initial success) and I’m also happy that Ciara manages to get her hands on an urban hit from time to time! She honestly deserves more!

    • Mark111 /.\ August 22, 2016

Ciara will never get “the support” or huge promo because she doesn’t sell enough records nor albums to make a return on the investment. The audiance just isn’t there, sorry.
      .
As for Tin, I’m not sure what kind of deal she has, but I’m sure it’s a good one since she wrote and produced 3 of her mixtapes on her own. She put in the work, she goes to where she needs to go to promote. Ciara promoted Ciara for 7 days and went on vacation on day 8 as if she sold 1 milli in a week. She never put in the work, she make 99 excues and blame whatever label she’s own. I’m sorry, but being dropped bu two labels, she won’t get a good deal from another one. Unless she do a 360 and have them take a % of her modeling checks.

      • 4everBrandy_Ci August 22, 2016

You’re always throwing bitter shade at Ciara. At the end of the day those “modeling checks” will get her ahead. The mainstream doesn’t embrace artist like Ciara. Enough with the “audience is there for her.” Ciara needs a BETTER investment in her brand. People like yourself and the rest of the chitter chatter committee talk about Ciara’s career nonstop. Tinashe and Ciara both need to get EXPOSURE. Mainstream isn’t open to every damn artist that’s out. And YES the artist that sell more and have popularity will get exposure. However there’s room for these artist. Ciara lacks consistency and when she releases a single it doesn’t get supported because her team isn’t aggressive when it boils down to promotion. But we KNOW this. But don’t act like she’s not going to return swinging for this next album.

  15. Mark111 /.\ August 22, 2016

Urban is her best rout. She tried pop and pretty must Fantasy Ride herself out the gates. That whole Earthy stuff would had worked but you had other mixed girls doing it and got to it first, that “booty like groceries: girl and J K Twig thing.

  18. Annalise August 22, 2016

No matter how much I try, I literally can’t get into this song whatsoever, in spite of the well-choreographed music video. It’s literally her just singing about wanting to be someones baby-mama over a 90’s ‘My Boo’ rip-off sample. I’m over it already and disappointed in this era.

AWFUL! It’s weird because I loved Inoj’s ‘Love You Down’, but for some reason the sample sounds out of place with the Tinashe’s vocal delivery. All of the tracks she’s released for her sophomore album have been nothing compared to what Aquarius brought to the table.

I know this is about Tinashe but I’m gonna talk about Ciara for a minute. Ciara still can and should be a platinum selling artist. The fact that I Bet and Body Party went platinum proves that. Ciara’s problem is she makes terrible albums. She’ll have 2 hot songs and 10 wack ones on the same album. If Ciara had Rihanna’s quality of tracks and added her own choreography and style to it, she’d be back on top. Ciara thinks that she needs pop radio and that’s why she makes these watered down pop tracks that no one listens too. Urban radio will gladly support Ciara when she gives them something to work with. Once she builds the momentum at urban, pop radio will have to take notice and she will be able to compete with Rihanna. But she first has to give creative control to someone with a better ear who could’ve told her that the Jackie album was trash to begin with.

  20. RihNavy August 22, 2016

I’d love to see her succeed but her window of opportunity is quickly closing and I can’t even blame her. RCA and Scooter Braun’s priorities just aren’t with Tinashe right now. She would’ve done better staying independent TBH, her fan base would’ve supported her and grown organically. Still rooting for her but she should truthfully be doing interviews and performing at major shows like the VMA’s and the Tonight’s show to keep her name in the public’s thoughts and her flame alive. Wishing her luck.

    • Danzou August 22, 2016

It’s messed up but I think if scooter and RCA would have worked with her budding fan base in the beginning then she would’ve popped. They stripped her of her earthy vibes she was giving of and I think those fans didn’t like her because of it.
