Fantasia made headlines this week when news hit that she was booked to perform at an ‘All Lives Matter’ gig.

Many in the Black community frowned on her decision due to the phrase often being used by those who denounce the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.

The ‘American Idol’ winner’s initial response saw her defend herself, while drawing on Bible verses and biracial relatives to illustrate her argument.

Now, after reflection, the star has issued another statement.

Her words await below…

I LOVE FANTASIA! She represents the young, gifted and black…keep doing your thing! SAN DIEGO let everybody know once again that this is a SERIOUS situation we’re facing in America! It’s not about being politically correct…oh, should we say black lives, blue lives, all lives? It’s about BEING DIRECT about a MOVEMENT…because that black man just killed in San Diego wasn’t blue, red, pink, purple, yellow, orange, turquoise…and I wouldn’t WISH he was a different color! I wouldn’t WISH these targeted killings on ANY RACE! He shouldn’t have been killed! And #BlackLivesMatter…all Fanny has to do is keep being who she is, and keep going forward…a GREAT thing she brought up is that we ARE ALL GOD’S CHILDREN…it’s just sad young black lives are valued less than other children of God in America in 2016…but WE’RE GONNA CHANGE THAT BULLSHIIT! And we’re gonna have to look like a RAINBOW doing it! #BlackLivesMatter

I don’t think white people are the least bit attractive so cut it you ham.

  4. Mashiyu September 29, 2016

She said it best, “Sometimes you gotta lose to win again.”

  5. Chillitsjustpizza September 29, 2016

Girl bye. You knew exactly what u and your dumb husband were saying “all lives matter” not just black lives. Now that twitter and every other social media site dragged u for filth u wanna apologize.

  6. Bey Hive Bae September 29, 2016

    She’s so dumb

    • Fancy BISH September 29, 2016

NO SHE ISN’T! People call Bey dumb, and THAT’S A LIE TOO!

  7. Dustin September 29, 2016

We all know this woman isn’t rocking the IQ scales. Why demonize someone that we know isn’t that bright when it’s clear it was an honest mistake? Let’s cut this well meaning woman some slack. Educate her, but why don’t we take her down from the social media cross?

    • Hmmm… September 29, 2016

This is true and that’s my problem. If you have your own personal reasons, dumb reasons, but personal nonetheless, reasons, for supporting “All Lives Matter” or anything else for that matter, then I can respect that. I’ll correct your dumb ass of course, but I digress. At least you have a reason for your words. Usually what people with brains do, is they look at both sides of an argument, choose which one they’ll support, and proceed accordingly. I have a problem with people walking around, blissfully and willfully ignorant, and the rest of us are expected to educate them after the fact. Because at that point it’s not, “the way you were raised”, a “misinterpretation of words”, or “an honest mistake”. It’s laziness. Educate. Yourself. It’s like when Fetty Wop tweeted “All Lives Matter” and then when he got dragged, he said he didn’t know what it meant. How exactly do you endorse something you don’t understand??? WHY exactly would you endorse something you don’t understand? Why are you a attaching yourself to things you aren’t informed about?? Why are inserting yourself into a conversation you didn’t research first??
      —————————————————————
If you can’t educate yourself beforehand, if you are too lazy to bother to pick up a book, if you don’t completely have an understanding of and are not ready to provide appropriate justification for the words that come out of your mouth, you best save your opinions for celebrity gossip and sports, because a racial and/or political matter is not where you belong.

      • Danzou September 29, 2016

I love your brain. I love a good thought. I love beauty in a person’s mind and your mind is intellect at it’s finest amidst other great accounts. Much blessings to you. I’m almost getting emotional.

  8. Rima September 29, 2016

    She’s truly a fool

Make sure you guys stream or purchase Perfect Illusion.

    • The kpop guy, Matt ~ September 29, 2016

    Save it Ms Donald Duck.

  11. Yoncé The Great September 29, 2016

The publicist wrote that statement. Girl, gone…just like that last album.

  12. Cbeylive September 29, 2016

I don’t t care about the gig take they money girl

  13. eric September 29, 2016

Why is it not OK for her to have her own opinion? She doesn’t have to share the same exact sentiment and use certain verbiage just because she’s black. She cares for all lives, plain and simple. I think more people need to see how divisive the BLM movement is. I don’t know how we’re ever going to improve race relations in this country if we can’t come together like civilized people and stop looking at the other race with hate and mistrust. Fantasia’s not wrong for wanting peace and unity.

    • B&B September 29, 2016

Isn’t the black lives matter movement representative of an outcry for justice? Why, then, would she represent a movement whose intention is to slander and overshadow that? All Lives Matter does not mean all lives really matter, it means black lives really don’t matter. That unjustified murders of unnarmed, innocent black humans should be accepted as a norm. That we should know our place. Etc. Period. There’s no reasoning to support something like that. Until whoever is behind “All Lives Matter” reach every law enforcement facility and change sh!t around then it will never truly represent peace and equality… But a group of racist white folks and sell outs telling us to stop complaining!!!!!

      • eric September 30, 2016

@B&B. Who are you to say what the intentions are behind ALM? There may be some people who mean it for evil, but their actions and beliefs don’t speak for everyone. Fantasia came in peace and people refused to accept it because they were blinded by hatred. That’s not OK.

  14. B_Roni September 29, 2016

Lord Jesus. I’m black but some of us are truly ignorant. Lol. This black lives matter stuff will be a lot of celebs downfall this year. iIf the black people don’t turn against you then the white folks who you work for wil put a dent in your check. It’s a lose lose situation and it’s sad. I understand both points but after reading that Laila Ali mess….. Lol you can’t even even have freedom of speech or opinion. The worst thing is that. You also can’t get upset because someone does not have the same views as you. She may have typed that up so she does not alienate her fans.

    • B_Roni September 29, 2016

And this is not to all black people but just the ignorant ones who sit on blogs and speak poorly on other black celebs and cyber bully others. There are plenty of people who comment on the black lives matter movement who have sense but some folks including whites and others are just as guilty. All the hate Fantasia was getting. When look at her hashtags on Twitter , I saw black m*****, ghetto trash, uneducated fish, and other stuff about how we should leave her to the white man for abandoning our people. Smh.

  15. NiceGuy September 29, 2016

I never thought I’d see the day when someone says & truly believe ALL LIVES MATTER & they get hate for it. This is why ppl look at us like we’re stupid plus we NEEEEVER progress. We’re trying to prove to others that BLM when they ALREEEEEEEEEADY THINK THAT!!!
