Full story below…

It was announced today that the crooner’s mega-successful ’20/20 Experience Tour’ will be debuting on the platform on October 12th.

Mounted in support of the 35-year-old’s multi-platinum  ’20/20 Experience’ album, the trek played to 1.9 million fans in 134 cities across the globe.

Billed as a concert film, the spectacle (directed by Jonathan Deem) will showcase the length and breadth of the show, as well as behind the scenes footage.

This is an immensely good look.

Netflix is leading the way in the video streaming arena and boasts an installed worldwide audience that’ll guarantee ample viewership.

We’ve long been of the opinion that several top tier acts could and should be playing in this space over traditional media mediums.

Moving forward, after JT’s checkmate, we imagine more will.

For now, peep the titillating trailer…

The tour was great, he’s such a great performer, can’t wait.

Smart move seeing as DVDs are become obsolete. His show was amazing – solid vocals even while dancing, confident stage presence (he interacted with the audience really well) and an incredible backing band. One of the best I’ve ever been to.

Dvd’s aren’t becoming obsolete. Beyonce amongst other do very well with them. It’ll probably work for Netflix because it was a tour that he did a little while ago. He’s a great performer. And he had hits on this album. Not everyone streams or cares to stream everything. Streaming is some what overrated..
