Lady Gaga has experienced quite the career roller coaster of late – with a number of peaks and troughs.

But, on the eve of the release of new single ‘Perfect Illusion,’ there’s no denying anticipation is at fever-pitch for the cut’s housing album.

Affectionately codenamed ‘LG5’ by fans, the singer’s fifth studio effort features production from the likes of Mark Ronson, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and BloodPop.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the latter opened up about what listeners can expect from new Gaga.

His words await below…

On the project as a body of work, BloodPop described the set as being “soul-rooted, [but] pop at heart.”

As for ‘Illusion,’ he beamed:

“[it’s] a big rock song that makes you want to dance.”

They [Gaga, Ronson, Parker] started recording at noon and wrote into the night. Every few days, a lyric would change and it would get better and better.”

Kii right but you know gags and her team always need to overhype.

Here comes another culture vulture trying trying to steal our sound, because she killed pop music. Oh and the ONLY reason that she has a sliver of a chance to try and re-ignite her career is that white American audiences are frustrated with the current take over of black music; therefore, they’ll take anything at this point.

    • iSpeakTruthNoFallacy September 8, 2016

Oh and the full song is out now, and it sounds like R2D2 made a pop song.

      • Janet1814 September 8, 2016

I think that song is fake babe.

    • Danzou September 8, 2016

Pop music is ours too babe don’t forget that.

When has Gaga ever shown interest in soul/r&b music? Not once have I ever heard this chick talk about the greats or how they influenced her. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

You can def hear the influence in her voice especially when she does jazz. Case in point, her performance at the Grammy Awards with Tony Bennett. I was shocked to hear how many runs and riffs she perfectly gave. She def has been influenced vocally. She just doesn’t showcase it much.

    • Danzou September 8, 2016

Honestly cocoa the fame DID have r&b soul influences. Listen to teeth or so happy I could die. Or telephone. The music was heavy hitting pop but you can’t deny the vocals on that album were soulful. Gaga can sing her ass off despite her ignorant ass gimmicks.

you must have missed her dedicating her first televised Grammy to Whitney Houston, then.

Ill be glad when she drops the music and stop all the theatrics and hype like she always does.

    • Danzou September 8, 2016

Theatrics? Hype? Ooh you mean like snippets in instagram for almost four years?

Why do I feel like ever since some of the producers that worked with Xtina on her new music described it the same way, now Britney and Gaga jumped on that. And when Xtina finally gets around to releasing her sh*t, it’s going to sound dated.

    • Meteorite September 8, 2016

      Bionic all over again.

  7. Fancy BISH September 8, 2016

I wish Gaga has something on her new album as soulful as a song from Lisa Stansfield or Jane Child…I want to hear her SANG lol

    • Adrian LePeir September 8, 2016

      LOL yeah right…

  8. Danzou September 8, 2016

Alright babe I’m here for it if you can bring that fame
Fire back. Hell even born this way tease will satisfy me.

  9. OhNoSheDidnt September 8, 2016

This record is going to try and rip Amy Winehouse’s sound, look and style. Just from the video still it looks heavily inspired by Amy. At least keep to your own look. Hope it doesn’t copy her sound. Clearly there will be similarities due to Marks involvement.
