Making Billboard history is certainly no new feat to burgeoning pop icon Beyonce. The Grammy-winning singer, who currently reigns as the only artist in history to see her first 6 albums debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, has certainly seen her name listed beside many-a-history making measure.
Now, as little sister Solange celebrates her first chart-topping entry – ‘Seat at the Table’ (read more on that here) – the superstar siblings are now jointly seeing their monikers beside a unique achievement.

Billboard reports Solange and Beyonce are the first sisters in music history to both score a #1 album in the same calendar year (with their ‘Table’ and ‘Lemonade’ albums respectively).
Previous reports incorrectly asserted the Knowles duo are the first siblings to ever accomplish this feat, but this was actually first accomplished in 2001 when pop icons Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson topped the charts with their ‘Invincible’ and ‘All For You’ albums respectively.

Yes, even her songs that never occupied the top 20. When will Rihanna have that impact? You can’t play Umbrella, Rude Boy, We Found Love etc because it has a shelf life… but I guarantee you will always hear Single Ladies, Crazy In Love, Love On Top, Get Me Bodied, Irreppacable, Ego in almost every setting… because that is what you call impact. ‘of the aforementioned songs only two of them hit #1 yet they’re continuously played because guess what… it stands the test of time. Honestly i don’t find anything stupid about this. It’s actually quite cool. The only other siblings to do this was MJ and Janet. To have your talent acknowledge and make it to #1 in the biggest music market in the world is an achievement enough! This is nice and cool. Can you imagine the excitement and feeling of haing both your children top the BB200. Or having your sibling share some major success in the same field of work. Congrats are in order for both these woman. They went from playing in playgrounds together to topping the BB200. That is a tear jerker bro lol!

Exactly! This site is dry as hell lately! I don’t know what’s happened. If I’m being honest, either my fave or Beyoncé are really doing anything interesting right now anyway. ‘Perfect Illusion’ has not “performed well” by any means at all. For an artist of Lady Gaga’s level of popularity and stature, it has completely underperformed and is, quite frankly, one of the most underwhelming lead/comeback singles by a ‘major Pop girl’ this decade thus far.
