Lady Gaga is off to a flying start with new song ‘Million Reasons.’

The haunting hymn was released today as an instant-grat track for those who’ve pre-ordered the diva’s new album ‘Joanne.’

It’s also available to purchase stand-alone, which many are clearly doing because the song is already making quite the mark on iTunes.

Full story below…

[UPDATED]

As at writing, the track – which was co-written by Hillary Lindsey – sits at #8 on the US retailer. It’s also receiving green momentum updates meaning that it’s sales are upwardly mobile.

[UPDATE: The track has risen to #4]

Go Gaga!

Sonically and lyrically, ‘Reasons’ is perhaps her most accessible offering in recent memory.

Sure it’s not the pulsating Pop folk have come to love and critique in equal measure, but what it does do is advance and mature her sound while still being mass appealing. Indeed, it wouldn’t be out of place on Adele’s ’25.’

We “would” vouch for this as the single successor to ‘Perfect Illusion,’ but there may be a song worthy of that honor on the album.

Needless to say, ‘Joanne’s October 21st release couldn’t come any sooner!

      Sad but true

    • ? October 6, 2016

      The album has leaked

      • kii October 6, 2016

It hasn’t I just searched online for it

    • Umm (original) October 6, 2016

Don’t do that because you know yo girl ain’t a single artist either…

      • orangejuice October 6, 2016

being a singles artist is not something to brag about nowadays. These songs dont hold a candle to the #1 singles from back in the day

  2. Kareem Hicks October 6, 2016

However I like this and the lyrics speaks volumes.

    • Bwash October 6, 2016

i agree. Its a beautifl song to cry to, put on after a break up or whatever. I like lady gaga making cry worthy music. she needs a really powerful era with just GOOD music. its not always about the gimmicks if the product can deliver

Good for Glen CoCo. I really just wish people that are so called “stans” “like Zach Campbell, Matt, etc. would stop worrying so much about the fact that all the new songs don’t sound like ‘The Fame’ or the other generic sh*t that’s on the radio and focus more on that fact that she’s giving us STRIPPED-BACK, Stephanie Joanne Germanotta and NOT GaGa. It’s refreshing and almost unorthodox in this current musical climate to just be “normal” and serve up REAL pop music that has meaning and vocals and not just a whole bunch of noise. I don’t use Gaga but she knows exactly what she’s doing and unlike the idiosyncratic stan known as Rosebud aka ‘Froot’, just because she’s not singing about “Old Money”, “Florida Kilos” etc. doesn’t make her any less of an artist than UltraViadka. Nor does it signify that she’s abandoning the”flamboyant”.white gâys and trying to pander to a straight audience. She’s just stripping back her sound and being…normal. When you make presumptuous comments like that, it’s not only detrimental but also a dangerously hasty-generalization about something you only have a vague glimpse about from Tumblr. Y’all complain so much about sh*t that doesn’t make you shake your åss, or stuff that’s NOT considered “real music” that you just ultimately end up detracting from those that DO make real music and can actually sing. You’re exactly what’s WRONG with the music industry now.

Anyways, congrats sis and continue being the TRUE definition of Anti, unlike certain girls who think Anti means being bent over on the Las Vegas strip for money.

  4. Surprise..(DEC 2013) October 6, 2016

I do hope her album is more cohesive, because perfect illusion and million reasons sound like totally different and maybe do not belong on the same album. That is one thing i like about VOMITGA, her albums are always cohesive with a particular sound, even TRAGICPOP had a cohesive sound. I get she is trying to be understated and show that she is a REAL ARTIST without all the gimmicks, but there is a fine line between DIFFERENT and BORING…

    • RihNavy October 6, 2016

I Kiiiii’d at ‘Vomitga’! LMAO but I can understand where you’re coming from. I don’t know, I guess for me, it’s more acoustic than anything. It’s not boring to me, and it’s not particularly different, but just…music, something this generation isn’t used to anymore. They’re used to overproduced gimmicks and controversy. Recent statistics even cooborate that the attention span of millenials in this decade is incredulously short than it was before, thereby everything of substance or “slow-to-digest” these days, translates to boring because we’re so used to no vocals, studio magic a plenty and over the top production to compensate for lack of artistry. This is what we’ve been reduced to, honestly. Back in the day (I’m giving JohnVidal T’s right now) you had to either be able to SING or dance and people actually paid a attention to that. Now a days it isn’t like that, it’s about what’s catchy at the moment and what will sell like hot fries a McDonalds next to a homeless shelter. The times are different in that aspect and it’s sad.

      • Bwash October 6, 2016

        that was amazingly put.

  5. Fake Songwriting Credits October 6, 2016

Definitely this site is in Gaga’s payroll, just like Billboard, perfect delusion bombed and this site refuses to report it, just like they do with other acts, don’t be surprised if they name her “woman of the year” Lmaooooo.

  6. Eldela October 6, 2016

Are people serious with this b*******? Gaga is a f****** fad from 2009/10. Her, Jason Derulo, Kesha, Taio Cruz and the cast of Jersey Shore. It’s bad enough we’re still having to deal with the odd still-existing presence of Bieber and Drake, who should have been gone by now. Miss me on trying to extend her 15 minutes too.

  7. GirlGroupFan October 6, 2016

I was optimistic about this era and here for “Perfect Illusion” despite its lukewarm rollout. But now I’m worried.

Is this a single? I hope it’s just Gaga’s usual expressive album ballad.

Someone on Twitter or Facebook suggested that “Perfect Illusion” was a nod to Gaga’s “fake fans” that left her hanging during the “Artpop” & “Cheek to Cheek” eras. Or to her record label(s), who are most likely frustrated with all her genre swapping. And to know Lady Gaga is to know she likes to do things her way. Her way. HER WAY. So, that makes me wonder if she’s got a little chip on her shoulder, which could explain the style, or lack thereof, in which this era is being handled. Is she sick of demanding fans and the industry in general?

I don’t believe for a second that Gaga thought “Perfect Illusion” or “A million Reasons” had hit potential, even if it’s true that her label is picking singles. Feels a little begrudging…

  8. #Nicole Nation October 6, 2016

You know what? This does sound like miley v****. Her vocals in this remind me of her. I can’t fck with it. Good thing I’m not a gaga fan in the first place.

  9. Paulo October 6, 2016

really like this song so I’m super glad. go Gagz

    • Career Ender October 7, 2016

      its a nice song

  10. Ughhhh October 6, 2016

Lmao @ iTunes top 10. That’s nothing special. iTunes always places high profiles artist in the top 10 of a single release so viewers can see what new music has been released. Next week it won’t be. Make a post when the single has reached top 10 on a more valid slot.

    • Bwash October 6, 2016

what does it matter if its a good song and it connects with the people she meant it to…HER FANS. if you dont like it dont listen to it and dont check for it on the charts either.

  11. KVH October 6, 2016

    I hate her.

    • Bwash October 6, 2016

      you hate yourself

  12. Mase October 6, 2016

She just can’t win with some of you on this site. It does NOT matter what she does you guys always have something bad to say. How about just wishing her the best?

  13. Mase October 6, 2016

At LEAST she did enter the top 5 iTunes not everyone does that. And so what if she falls out of the top 10 next week? Will the world stop spinning? Ya’ll are something else.

    • Bwash October 6, 2016

right, people act like even if the album doesnt do a million first week shell still go on a major tour and give the album life

AND EVERYONE WILL BE HERE FOR IT

  14. S****** Blonde October 6, 2016

The song is her best offering since Born This Way (the album), a million times better than PI, also the first song that I like from her since again BTW (the album).

    • JOHNVIDAL October 6, 2016

It is really great. I´m glad you admit it.

  15. DTG October 6, 2016

I’d sooner listen to a toilet flushing for 4 mins. than anything from this kook. Noanne.

    • Umm (original) October 6, 2016

So you’re saying you are used to listening to s***?

  16. Bwash October 6, 2016

Gaga had alot of fairweather fans. People who only liked the gimmicks, the manufactured pop. No one really wanted to see where else she would go. I commend her for challenging the status quo.

  17. Really October 6, 2016

I am very proud of Lady Gaga. I could not imagine what it felt like to have so many people in her Camp turn their backs on her because of a flop album. and then to have the General Public bashing her , some of it well deserved, for example the vomiting on stage. However she’s coming back has won an Emmy nominated for an Oscar performing at the Super Bowl and has a new album on the way. I don’t know how many of us could do with that kind of pressure so Kudos Lady Gaga

  18. Million reasons October 6, 2016

What a beautiful song, I hope she actually releases it as a single right now. Imagine her singing this at the super bowl! No gimmick just pure talent

  19. Kitty October 6, 2016

    who?

  20. King B October 6, 2016

Tho her fans are annoying, I have to admit that I kinda like how’s she’s becoming so different. This and Lemonade (not available on Streaming websites) is what Anti truly means.

    • JOHNVIDAL October 7, 2016

She has annoying fans just like everybody else (some Beyonce fans have a never too, not to mention the Rihanna fans that think she´s bigger than madonna ever was and things like that LOL). The important thing is that she truly is a talented artist, like you said.

      • SailorMoon October 7, 2016

Stfu h**! Anti would be different from what ever you were doing before. My Empress Rihanna ruler of y’all ugly h*** and mother to 200 million records sold. Normally released albums like f****** conveyer belt nearly always in November. I am completely fine with my fave being a studio artist that’s how I see her. And she still look better then you and your mother and I still like her songs more then anybody else’s!

  21. SailorMoon October 7, 2016

F*** all you ugly b******. 4 5 seconds is/was a better song than this and I didn’t really like that song either! Tell me exactly where she sounds better than Sister Cindy at my church? I don’t care about your talent I become a fan because I like the person or what I see from them. I don’t use Gaga anymore but I did when she first came out… thought she was the new Michael Jackson then she got old and I’m done. Simple as that. However I’m still interested in seeing a live performance from the fad just like I would run to see performance from spice girls or back street boys Nsync u get the idea. B**** is still done. Think Nicki Minaj is prolly over as well tbh.

  22. Career Ender October 7, 2016

yes Gaga i like this. the emotion >>
