Lady Gaga may have stripped back her trademark theatrics, but she’s still proving a must-see for the masses.

Case in point her recent stint on Saturday Night Live.

Full story below…

Gaga guested on the long-running series this past weekend, performing ‘A-YO’ and ‘Million Reasons’ from her new album ‘Joanne.’

Per ratings data, her appearance (which was hosted by actor Tom Hanks) drew the best viewership of the current season thus far.

NBC notes that Saturday’s “SNL” drew a 6.1 overnight household rating; and that it posted a 3.0 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Translation?

Gaga’s showing was the best metered-market rating for an October ‘SNL’ since 2008. It’s also the best performance for any ‘SNL’ since Nov. 7, 2015.

‘Joanne,’ as reported, is on-course to open at #1.

People can say what they want about gagz, but when it comes to her ability to entertain on the stage, she’s amazing and people know it.

And Rima please I know you are a bit of a loose cannon after this past weekends lashing so please lay off the boring recycled “Lemonade/OTR tour ratings” drags

Well the truth is the truth. Beyonce isn’t a huge ratings puller either, and her low rated TV specials are public record.

Her performance of A-Yo actually made me like the song. So that’s good for her. I wouldn’t credit the ratings bump solely to Gagz though. It was a perfect storm of Tom Hanks, Gagz, and the debate parodies.

Lol so yall are going to credit Gags for the ratings increase? Because it make sense that no one is checking for music but will tune in to see it live lol.

Why not credit Gaga for the ratings? If it was Beyonce you people would be quick to credit her, even though she’s proven that she doesn’t bring in ratings to her own TV specials.

Everything Gaga does they hate on or complain about. She is just as great of a performer as Beyonce is.

    • JOHNVIDAL October 24, 2016

She is. A different type of performer, less dancing, but she is as great, and more versatile. And a better musician obviously.

Complain??? U obviously were in a coma after the Super Bowl. Everyone was complaining about Beyonce and praising Gaga, Bruno and Coldplay.

It doesn´t have to be because of her. Who knows. But it´s hilarious to see the meltdowns of all these trolls that are waiting to see her fail non stop. She is killing it performances wise (the two in SNL were amazing) and her album is doing better that what they expected (against all odss and with such a huge change of genre). When Superbowl arrives they are going to have a stroke or something 🙂
