Emeli Sande searches for the meaning of love with Jay Electronica on her new song ‘Garden.’

Hailing from her sophomore album, ‘Long Live the Angels,’ the song opens with a poem from Áine Zion over a sultry beat, merged in snaps. Sande soulfully coos “Let me love/Let me touch/We can give it up/Let me drink from the fountain.”

Electronica proves he’s still a wordsmith with a carefree verse that calls for a ‘Purple Rain’ love.

Take a listen below…

While we prefer Emeli at her belting best, this is a refreshing change of pace sonically.

With lead single ‘Hurts’ in the iTunes top 10, ‘Long Live the Angels’ is set for release worldwide on November 11th.
