If iTunes receipts are anything to judge by, Britney Spears and Tinashe fans are apparently snoozing on the divas’ duet, ‘Slumber Party.’

The tune – the latest lifted from Spears ill-fated 9th opus ‘Glory’ – saw its buzz reach a feverish pitch when its sexy, ‘Eyes Wide Shut’-inspired accompanying music video was unveiled.  That buzz, thanks to the AMAs and more, has quickly cooled and quelled after just three days.

Stats inside:

‘Slumber Party’ peaked at #31 on the digital charts BEFORE its music video was released.  With such a promising response given its limited promotion, it’s obvious Spears and co. figured a remix, well-crafted music video, and an increase in buzz around the tune should help it out.

Sadly, they couldn’t have been more wrong.

Since its official Tinashe-assisted release on Friday at 12am PT, ‘Party’ managed to dance its way to a back to a post-video peak of #32 on iTunes charts.  Lost in the fray of Bruno Mars’ new release ’24K Magic’ and the American Music Awards, as of time reported the tune sits at:

If there is any hope for the song on next week’s refreshed Hot 100, it certainly will come from the streaming front. Amassing over 5 million spins within its first 24-hours, a recent check sees it hovering right above the 15 million plays mark on Youtube.

They should’ve fckn performed it at the AMAs.. Britney refuses to promote any of her music.. I honestly don’t think she’s after accolades at this point anymore, she’s just making music for her fans

    • mr.m November 22, 2016

She actually promote the sh!t out of her album before the release and a 2 weeks after. THEN STOPPED!
this was the biggest promotion she did in a DECADE!
She SHOULD’VE performed at the AMA’s. that song is hot.

  2. Hoeyonce November 21, 2016

    They’ll have a cute top 40 debut .

Whatever. At the end of the day not every artist can boast of having 2 diamond albums, 3 of the most iconic in modern pop (ITZ, Blackout, Femme Fatale) a No.1 from the last THREE decades and a handful of iconic stage performances that will go down in history. Not every artist can obtain a 20 year career without a few flop albums. Britney is still winning in one very important area- her bank account.

    • Truth November 22, 2016

Clinging to PAST accolades to divert attention away from CURRENT failure is what stans of HASBEENS do to comfort themselves. Thanks for playing!

      • gina November 22, 2016

but ignoring past accolades that CURRENT artists can’t even accomplish at their peak to deflect from their current mediocrity isn’t any better.

      • Heyyyyy Yaaaaa November 22, 2016

That’s a stupid way of reasoning. Britney made her mark already she can flop everyday it won’t change the fact that she’s still Britney. No female artist out right now could touch her when she was in her prime. Anyone who was into music in the late 90’s early 2000’s knows that Britney already put in the work and can move on to flop forever it won’t matter..it’s Britney b****!

Y’all try y’all hardest to downplay her the fact of the matter is bruno is all over promoting his ass off and only to manage to sell 170k on the album front while Britney who’s been in the game almost twenty years sold 110k stop trying to make her look bad cause when she does sell y’all don’t report

  5. Weezy Tha Goat/ Zayn is ? November 21, 2016

This is pretty much Britney’s career in 2016.

  6. LmfaoHoe November 21, 2016

Why didn’t they perform the damn song last night ??

  7. Surprise..(DEC 2013) November 21, 2016

    OOPSSSSSS….SHE DID IT AGAIN.

  8. HailLegendBeysus November 21, 2016

What a flop! She needs too stick to Vegas and just perform the music she already has.

    • mr.m November 22, 2016

well, at least she don’t have to BUY albums/awards/song credits like your fav m***** 🙂

    Nothing special
About this song they chose the wrong single.

  10. King B November 21, 2016

I’m surprised! Every time she releases new musics, with all the hypes, I’ve always thought the old Britney who once dominated the charts is back. But I was wrong, since 2013.

    • HailLegendBeysus November 21, 2016

This made me LOL! The part where you said “I’ve always thought the old Britney who once dominated the charts is back. But I was wrong, since 2013.” ????

  11. Rosie November 22, 2016

It fell another 11 spots since then.
Not Botney selling less than The xx. But white gays tell me every era “2003ney is back!!1”

  12. Cinnamon Girl November 22, 2016

Their record labels need to start doing some manipulation

  13. BubblePopElectric November 22, 2016

We shouldn’t hold artists who have literally done everything 20 years deep in their careers (Britney, Mariah, Xtina, JT, Monica, Brandy, Beyoncé, Gwen, Pink, J.Lo etc) to the same standards we hold the newbies who are superficially successful today because their objectives are different. These kids are super singles-driven trying to get people to stream their music for free to boost their Billboard stats whereas their older counterparts want their albums to be consumed as a whole to be used for what they really are: Vehicles to slay the touring game.

    • THE REAL November 22, 2016

      My thoughts exactly.

In fact, I recently made a Gwen Stefani/No Doubt playlist on Apple featuring their entire singles discography alongside Gwen’s 3 solo albums.. the breadth of their/her hits is quite stunning to hear dating back to early 93-94.. Same goes for the 20-year vets you listed above. They’re legacy acts at this point. They’re not as pressed to find hits on the Hot 100 catered to the average 15-16 year old. If they can, it is an exception. What all these legacy acts are doing is making albums to generate more exposure for their brand. Be it touring, reality show judge, films, TV, fashion etc. The days of relying solely on Hot 100 placements for acts such as Britney, Gwen, J.Lo, Mariah, Janet faded a looong time ago and that is OK. It happens to every mega pop star at some point. Name one it didn’t?

I hate how its “uncool” to like Britne . Glory is one of the best albums to drop this year but everyone is so full of shade to give it a listen. Plus i dont think SP was even sent to radio …

    • Avenger November 22, 2016

Eh. It was never “cool” to like Britney.

      • THE REAL November 22, 2016

That is a bold faced lie. You may have never thought Britney Spears was cool but her immense popularity in the late 90s-early 00s has called to inform you that you’re full of b*******.

      • Rome November 22, 2016

It was always cool to like Britney. Still is

    • Citi November 22, 2016

Yeah if it was uncool to like britney since the beginning then 13million people accidentally bought Baby one more time. SMH

  15. SMH November 22, 2016

White privilege can only take you so far, eventually you have to bring at least a smidgen of talent to the table. Fact is Britney should have been put out to pasture over a decade ago.

  16. The truth November 22, 2016

    I knew it

  17. CLAY K November 22, 2016

What a surprise. I love Britney and Glorious is cool but I don’t know, I stopped listening to the album after few days. It wasn’t the case with Blackout which is one of her best album to me because it was something fresh and different. Glorious sounds like the same old thing, this era is already done for me and the fact is that I must not be the only one. I’m also sick and tired of her lip sync and playback performances, I will NEVER pay a ticket for a show where she doesn’t sing. That’s a shame, she’s making fun of her fans.
