Sadly for Britney Spears, recent album ‘Glory’ enjoyed a chart and single run that was anything but triumphant.
Indeed, though praised for finally injecting authentic “cool” into Brand Britney, sales have been limp and interest waned.
Thankfully for fans of the singer, it appears more newness is on the way.

Speaking to Caesar about her latest swing of the bat, the 34-year-old said:
“I think the vibe of Glory is a lot different than my previous albums. We experimented with so many things while we were making the record. I feel like this time, I was really able to be hands on. I’m so proud of every song that we put on the album.
It took us a couple of years to make this album, and of course over time, musical styles change and sometimes other ideas pop up that you just like better. The songs on Glory were no-brainers for me—they were the best of all the songs we recorded.”
Perhaps most titillating (for those who still care) is what she said next…
“I’m not sure what I want the next album to sound like,” she says. “I just know that I’m excited to get into the studio again and actually have already been back recording.”
Meh.
With the ‘Glory’ era, it’s become more clear than ever than music isn’t Spears’ problem; this go round her sound was sonically on-point.
Yet, the prime issue lay in the so-so performances and archaic approach to her… everything.
To really make a mark next time, she and her team will need to do a whole lot of mood boarding and focus-grouping to really figure out how she can make a splash in the current musical landscape.
Cause she already recording doesn’t mean she will be releasing new music soon alotta artist always keep recording even when they had recently release album lol just to get a idea what they wanna do sonically for the next album lol

Truth be told. As a fan I just want to to see Britney happy and content, nothing else matters now. She has broken every record imaginable at this point..6 No.1 albums from 1999 to 2011, most artists wish they could flop on a Britney level in 2016.
Well she has a record contract she has to fulfill. She does not really have a choice other than to make music to fulfill her contract or get sued. I think her Vegas contract limits the number of performances she can do outside of Vegas so it is like a catch 22.
She knows her days are numbered, that’s why.
Britney’s days are done. It’s hilarious how so many of her aging twink stans delude themselves into thinking that she’s still as relevant as she was in July 2000, so that they can pretend that they’re still in the 8th grade. The world has been over Spears for a decade.

I mean during Glory release she did say that she signed a new contract and in that contract I think she have 6 albums and I remember her saying something about an album a year and that Glory was only the beginning of the new Britney. I’ve always appreciated Britney for what she is to pop culture. With that being said I’m eager to hear what she cooks up next. ❤️

I agree. If Britney did Super Bowl that would help her career. I think what is missing with Britney is not updating her stage routines. Nowadays the old fashioned lip synching does not work. You have to do a combination of talk-singing and singing lightly over pre-recorded music like Beyonce and Rihanna does to be current. Also, her team should get more onboard with streaming sales since the industry trend is going that way.

I don’t see any Britney fans “coming for other favs”. It is the other way around. Plenty of Beyonce fans attack other artists for no real reason. Glory is amazing, she just released the wrong sh*t. Make Me was not a good choice for a first single, then the promo tracks Private Hell and Clumsy didn’t help. Slumber Party was late to the party. Ugh….had she started off right with this album, it wouldve sold more.

Um……Girl take the damn hint, no one is here for you. Hasn’t Glory-Hole already left the billboard chart????….I actually liked the album, it had some good bops. But even tho i loved MAKE ME…it was the poor choice as a lead single. Also, aside from her record contract, she has to keep releasing albums so she has new songs to perform on her Vegas retirement tour…So it makes sense, just don’t expect it to sell (EVEN IF SHE DOES A LOT OF PROMO). #TEA

I want to see the inspired Britney from the In The Zone era. When she was writing music and performing at the top of her game and even singing live once in a while. I think we all just want Britney to mature as an artist and be authentic to who she is. So many artists seem afraid to grow up.
