It’s finally time for Fergie fans. Again.
The singer’s comeback campaign has defined start-stop/rinse-and-repeat. Indeed, 2014 saw her blaze back on the scene with the well-received ‘LA Love (La La)’ and then she disappeared.
Early this Summer, the Black Eyed Peas singer returned with ‘M.I.L.F Money,’ which despite sounding like construction noise managed to become a viral hit thanks to its colorful and cameo-heavy video.
Folk have heard little from her since.
That is until now.
Taking to social media today, Fergie-Ferg revealed a teaser video.

She should release the album. Releasing it by “surprise” is the only thing she could do to make this album at least semi successful. This with a banger video released simultaneously.
She’s been gone for too long and her hype just isn’t really there anymore and it won’t increase with another 5 singles.

i’m ready and excited but I think it is going to be a single, not the full album. But we will see. Either way I am excited.

No, the suprise album gimmick won’t work. She needs a mid tempo banger made by top writers and producers, a modern version of Glamorous. Something slightly nostalgic which shows off her vocals and critics will jïzz over, yet can still be played in the club and taken seriously by urban radio. Drop the song, video and the album release date in the same week. Then release the album 4 weeks later dropping some countdown tracks between then. Regardless she ain’t gonna sell too well but it’ll make her album release seem like a big event and her name will be in the press over a longer period. If you can’t sell the music, sell your name/brand!
The surprise album could actually work. But she should release a single/video with it. And the album should be available for purchase only….
