Joe has bowed out gracefully.

After moving over 15 million units worldwide and inspiring a generation of R&B musicians, the entertainer has decided to move onto fresher pastures by pulling the plug on his career.

How he’s celebrating the end? By releasing a new album named ‘My Name is Joe Thomas.’

Many artists at times say that their current project is their best piece of work to date. However, I can honestly say that this truly is not only my best, but one of my favorite discs ever. I put my heart and soul into the creation and performance of this record, and I can only hope that I am giving fans what they wish for in a Joe record.

  2. jaz November 14, 2016

This is just a sales strategy to inspire fans and casual listeners to buy and stream the record.

    Wishing him the best though

    • beyonce the c** swallower November 14, 2016

      He is better than fakeyonce

  3. LISA LEVINE November 14, 2016

When i heard him sing We Belong together by Mariah Carey and he killed it, i wondered why he wasn’t has huge as Maxwell or Luther, He is so underrated like Tamia. This guy’s voice is magical.

    • MUSICHEAD November 14, 2016

R.Kelly had him black balled in the 90’s and 00’s because he felt he was a threat. So radio stations, A&R people, other artists, networks and promo outlets who didn’t want to lose their relationship with R.Kelly minimized their relationships with Joe.

I came in here to talk about the we belong together cover he slayed and that he needed to release it as a single.

      • LISA LEVINE November 14, 2016

        ITS HOT

I did not know anything about the R. Kelly situation but it makes since. They were both on the same label. Can’t have two R&B Kings on the same label I guess. I think Joe’s problem was marketing and branding. His name is too common and he should have crossed over by working with pop artists when he was at his prime. R. Kelly did a duet with Celine Dion.

He has a beautiful voice. He brings u have to your childhood. It is a sales strategy. They usually just fade away.

  7. MUSICHEAD November 14, 2016

This is definitely not his best album. But he is a vocal powerhouse and should be respected as such. All The Things Your Man Won’t Do, All That I Am, More & More, Love Scene, Stutter, I Believe In US etc. So many hits and classics!

  8. Pat November 14, 2016

One of the best male rnb voices of all time

  9. #JACKIE November 14, 2016

Joe SANGS, but like most 90s R&B artists, he has aged out and transitioned to the adult contemporary scene that doesn’t sell well or get much promotion.

    • Diana, The Empress Of Pop November 14, 2016

And what is Ci-Error Wilburn-Wilson’s problem? Unlike Joe, her popularity in music (and fashion) couldn’t go past 5 years.

      • Terny November 14, 2016

*Wendy Williams Witchy Cackle*???? Tell it?!

      • #JACKIE November 14, 2016

You TRIED it. Joe has been DONE since 2000. Ciara KEEPS you s***** bottoms pressed. She is still booked, snatching endorsements, deals and plaques. I wasn’t even shading joe, but let’s call a spade a f****** spade.

      • #JACKIE November 14, 2016

You TRIED it. Joe has been DONE since 2000. Ciara KEEPS you s***** bottoms pressed. Joe WISHES he had her relevance. I wasn’t even shading joe, but let’s call a spade a f****** spade.

      Lol!

      Joe has like 4-5 classics!

      Where is ciara’s classic album?

Oh, Goodies is a classic to yall?

      Okay then.

      Lmao!

Ci only has one album that is close to being a classic out of six albums, and that’s Basic Instinct because of who produced it, and even that album had filler.

Don’t try to come for a talented legend like Joe when your fave struggles to sing the ABC’s!

  10. Let me say November 14, 2016

When I tell you this man could get ROUNDS!

  11. Coolness November 14, 2016

Joe has one of the greatest male voices in R&B. However, much like Eric Benet, who also has stunning vocal ability, his material – save for an album or two – have always left much to be desired in my opinion. In Joe’s case, this can probably be attributed to the blackballing he suffered at the hands of R. Kelly which prevented him from having access to the top producers and writers in the industry. That’s why after his amazing debut, he just kept churning out mediocre album after album. Still, I’ll give this one a listen.

    • Jackson November 14, 2016

Are you kidding? You think Joe of all artists is mediocre. Smh.

  12. Jackson November 14, 2016

Joe hasn’t confirmed that this is his final album.

    Hmmmmm

  14. Bitchpleaseeee November 15, 2016

The album was nice pretty good as Joe never disappoints but Hollow should have featured Taylor Swiftnir Corrie Underwood and Happy Hour with Drake. Owerall I’m enjoying the album ???????

  15. eee#Nicole Nation/Bruno >>>>>> Abel November 18, 2016

This definitely ain’t his best album. Too much trap on the album for one. I just hope he pulls a Jay-Z or something. R&B and music needs Joe. He’s not a trend follower like Usher, even the trap-ish songs on this album are decent but just not as good as his albums My Name Is Joe, Better Days, All That I Am, Signature and Doubleback.

I put Joe above R. Kelly because unlike Robert Joe never made cheezy nasty songs with auto-tune just to please the young kids who haven’t heard actual singing before. Joe and Dave Hollister > Usher and Kellz IMO, vocally they all can slay but when it comes down to quality of music Joe and Dave are miles ahead of the other two. Brian McKnight as well, that man is a f**king genius.

Joe, Dave Hollister, Brian McKnight, Babyface, Johnny Gill, Charlie Wilson, Eric Benet, – real R&B artists!
