This month, she learned that her number ‘Lush Life’ had been certified Platinum in the United States for sales and streams of 1 million units as its predecessor ‘Never Forget You’ leaps towards the 3x Platinum mark after crossing the 2 million point recently.
Undoubtedly benefitting from L.A. Reid‘s knack for building commercially viable Urban Pop starlets (see TLC, early Pink, Meghan Trainor and Rihanna) Larsson’s ascent is expected to spell success for her on the Billboard 200 once her second studio album touches down next year.

For, her latest effort ‘Ain’t My Fault‘ was recently certified Silver by the U.K’s British Phonograph Industry for sales of over 200,000 units.

I think she was nervous. If she is a new artist I like to give people time to get a few hits and get confortable on stage before going in on them too hard. I remember when DC came out and seeing Beyonce sing off-key and scream too but look how amazing she is now as a performer.
I like her but she isn’t doing anything Monica and Brandy didn’t do before. That being said her material is strong hence why she’s outdoing Tinashe in her own lane. Race is a big factor but Tinashe could be just as big if her songs were better.
Tinashe put out flop singles in an effort to get her sophomore album some attention before releasing it. There is room in the industry for birth women and they are young enough to have flop records and keep on going. Sometimes it is all about just having the right team behind you that pays to get your hit records.
This Zara Larsson chick is definitely coming strong. So far I’ve liked all 3 of the songs I’ve heard here in the states. Come thru new talent.

Jojo has love from her fans and many people that are not fans. She just needs a better promotion team behind her. Many people do not know she put out an album this year.
