In lieu of the holidays, pop songstress Justine Skye gifts fans with an EP that is sure to prep her for a takeover in the new year.

8 Ounces’ is the latest effort from the purple diva. The 9-track project serves a diary for the 21-year-old in which Skye expresses the poignant emotions of a young girl’s heart.

Behind the boards of the ‘Ounces’ is The-Dream and Tricky Stewart who both lend their pen and musical genius to musical diary.

Listen to Justine’s latest musical induction below.

After her departure from Atlantic earlier this year, the ‘U Don’t Know’ singer signed with Roc Nation, her career seems to be taking some major uphill strides. It shall be interesting to see what the magenta unicorn has in store come 2017.

At most part it was uninspiring, if this the direction she is taking its already been walked before, and if this the direction she’s going in she can keep it

When The-Dream and Tricky are together its deadly… to ones career.

When they’re alone they create some great tracks!

They save their best work for certain artists. And all of these other R&b chicks get the generic cuts.

@credits you’re absolutely right. Her and dream get along very well and they’re both Virgos. She said that they were getting to know one another and that’s when the ep came about.

She’s slowly taking over the fashion world also. Happy for her she works hard. She just needs that top 10 hit and at least open up for a well known artist that’s going on tour. Once she has that she can be the top female in R&B. I can see her going along way.
