In 2017, Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma are set to go head to head with new releases they hope will solidify/elevate their respective statues in Hip-Hop.
Fortunately for Minaj, the general public has given her a healthy head start by putting their money where their mouths are by purchasing the material she’s dropped to support her new set.

The rapper’s remix of Rae Sremmurd’s ‘Black Beatles’ has generated $21,926 in the last week without the support of streamed units.
When streams are thrown into the mix, its earnings reach the $46,134 point after it was spun 3.8 million times on streaming platforms within the last seven days.
Like most of Minaj’s hits ‘Barbies’ isn’t expected to top the Billboard Hot 100, but can expect to enjoy a “silent” but serious run on a sales front as the general public continues to throw its support (and wallet) behind her sleeper hit-kissed discography.
Typically, the lyricist’s numbers never sell enough units in a single week to top the singles chart (or even impact the Top 5), but consistently shift enough copies to match or outperform releases that do so with front-loaded digits.
It now seems, after making its entry at #65, ‘Black‘ is set to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors.
On higher ground, her Ariana Grande-led single ‘Side to Side’ picked up $67,558 in the same space of time.

I know this is off topic. But I wanted to mention that if Meek and Nicki are “playing” their relationship to their social media following and are not really broken up, it just goes to show you that they do not treasure their relationship. I remember JayZ saying that his relationship with Beyonce is not a joke so they don’t play with it.
If they are broken up, Nicki needs to reexamine her personality. She makes men miserable after a while and then blames it on “they are not strong enough to handle me.” No, Nicki. You are mean and overbearing. No amount of gifts will be able to buy their love. Nicki is so insecure that she has to convince men that no other woman is badder. For example, she make statements like “who else can buy you a watch like this”, “Safaree, you are just mad that you ain’t getting these gifts anymore.” Really? I though bad chicks receive gifts and only gives gifts that are less comparable.
Just because she has the money to buy expensive gifts, I do not see why she is bent of “buying” men to prove she has more money than others. If Nicki honors her relationship, she should respect them and keep them private. She thinks she respected Meek because she was faithful. Nobody cares about faithfulness if they are getting dogged out.
I can never understand what Meek is hollering about in his songs but one thing I understood and will never forget: He said, Safaree did not fight for Nicki.
If she releases the rumored video I bet the song could reach Top 20 no problem.

just shut up, even though she would have like one, she is still a millionaire, who started from the bottom and earn everything, no family trust found nothing, she not having a 1 hit doesn’t make her a bad artist in my opinion, alot of grammy winners haven’t gotten a 1 hit song are even a 1 hit album, having hits doesn’t mean you are a great artist are is better than so and so, alot of you people put too much stock in 1 hits.

Upon observation, I believe it would be best she release her next body of work with a complete makeover…f*** the trends/radio hits…just reinvent…an album with NO features, minimal ass shaking/sexulaization/redundant lyrics “money, ass, cars, s**, etc”, and incorporate her roots “island flavored music”, and less gimmicks, promo, it would also be nice if the album was “Cohesive”, (pink friday).
TBH I feel like with nicki she’s waaaaay to concerned about sales and chart placements to do an album as mentioned above…therefore she will remain in the same place with her plaques, awards, etc……..but I ask her this question..”is it all worth it if your not growing as an artist/musician???????
