Rita Ora is on a roll!

Now two days removed from the premiere of her version of ‘America’s Next Top Model’, the singer continues to hit the media circuit to raise awareness for it and the album she will drop via Atlantic Records next year.

Why it’s set to be worth the wait?

Find out below….

I’ve been in such a hoo-haw with the music that it turned into a thing where I wanted to outdo myself. So I started doing other things and why not? … I feel like I’m in one of the most powerful positions I’ve ever been in in my life.

She told ‘OUT’:

I’m just so ready for this album to come out. I’ve been through a lot, musically. Everything I was trying to do creatively was getting blocked at the time, and it was very difficult for me to voice myself. There was a point that I really just gave up and started doing other things, which is incredible—like fashion, and movies, which I’m not complaining about. But I love music, and it’s the reason I started entertaining in the first place. Now I’ve got my second album coming out with Atlantic Records, and I’m so proud of it. I’ve written every song on it. It’s based in London. We live produced everything. Instruments, the band, a full orchestra.

I think if Rita wasn’t trying so much to be like rihanna and just be herself her music career would have been way better…I mean her first album was dope but she just needs to find herself….

Was she trying to be like Rihanna? Or was the label trying to mold her into another Rihanna?

      • Cory December 10, 2016

I’m not even a Rita fan, but why all the hate? What are you doing with your life that makes you SO cool? Sure! She never became Rihanna or Beyonce. But how many did? at least she’s still out here doing her thing at SOMETHING. While you’re home talking trash about someone you don’t even know.

She’s an underdog for sure. What hurt her following was definitely the Rihanna comparisons. tbh this generation sucks for new artists period because all fans do now is compare everyone to the top dogs (Bey, Rihanna). Aside from certain looks Rita and Riri are nothing a like, she just needs a hit to get her poppin over here in the states.

What does that have to do with anything fool?? BEYONCE BREATHING IN HER SLEEP IS MORE ON KEY THAN ANY CI-MAN OR SELESSOR GOMEZ LIVE VOCALS…..Now go away.

TBH, I didn’t think Rita is vocally, yes she can sing and no she can’t dance but I never found her to be stand out, she really just reminded me of these session singers they’re now calling stars with generic hits that got a second chance and a better clothing budget. Rita doesn’t have the hits or a personality to make the song a hit (uk excluded because the music taste is questionable)
I also love this “I wrote every song” I’m guessing not alone?
She had a big hitter behind her and still didn’t get it popping whilst more talented and recognised Jessie J did it with hard work.

Imo Oral Gel actually has talent but she just needs the perfect execution to make her a hot commodity in music same as many new artists right now.

Funny while someone was so focus on Rihanna taking her time with Anti, this girl Rita been saying her album is going out son since 2012. You also never hear of her Addidas line selling out, or hear about them at all.
    .
I’ll just point out the irony, she’s the host of America Next Top Model, when she’s a Brit that was never next or on top of any charts, nor a model.

    • Surprise..(DEC 2013) December 10, 2016
