Sales Of George Michael’s Music Soar Following His Death

Sales of George Michael‘s music have skyrocketed following his death.

Found dead on Christmas Day, the ‘Father Figure‘ performer is survived by friends, family…and a hit-kissed discography.

After the world learned of his death, the general public flocked to retailers to purchase his material.

ITV News explains:

Ladies & Gentlemen is now number one in the iTunes album chart.

Three further entries covering Michael’s solo career and work with boy band Wham! feature in the top 10.

His solo album Twenty Five is at number six, and Wham! records The Final and its deluxe edition feature at five and 10 respectively.

Careless Whisper, one of Michael’s best known works, is at number 12 in the singles chart, but likely to move into the top 10 today.

His last official LP ‘Patience’ moved an impressive 4 million units worldwide following its release on March 15th 2004 helping its combined sales to surpass the 90 million records sold point.

    He has left behind some great songs. Whenever I listened to his slower songs, I was always transported to another space and time. He really has quite a beautiful voice. Cowboys and Angels is one of my all time favorite songs.

    I used to listen to a lot of George Michael when I was younger mainly because my parents only let me listen to 80s music back then. Freedom was always my favorite. May he rest in peace. It’s unfortunate that we never truly appreciate whats in our life until it’s gone.

      Yes actually it was just released that he left his over 120 million (US $) to his godchildren, his partner, his family and numerous charities.
