As reported here, The Weeknd‘s ‘Starboy’ was behind Rae Sremmurd‘s #1 hit, ‘Black Beatles,’ on the Hot 100 for so long it actually tied the all-time record for most consecutive weeks at #2.  Finally, after a $.69 iTunes sale, the Daft Punk-assisted tune finally ascended to #1 last week, giving Weeknd his third chart-topper.

Now, as the refreshed Hot 100 reveals, that sale may have been just what the doctor ordered to get him to #1, but it damn sure wasn’t enough to keep him there.  For, after just 1 week of topping the tally, he’s already been ousted from its perch.

Curious to see who its new occupant is?  Tuck in below to see and also find out whom among your faves landed in this week’s new TGJ Chart Check:  Hot 100…

Hot damn! Migos jumped higher than Mariah Carey’s backtrack vocals

    • The Wig Snatcher January 4, 2017

As if they’ll ever achieve half of the amount of #1s as Mariah has in their soon to be very short careers.

      • JC January 4, 2017

Exactly! #1s don’t mean anything in this age and day as anyone hit #1 with a YouTube video of mumbling and whispering over trap beats followed by a Hashtag challenge. And this is what some if these kids stan for? Tuh

    boo! that’s too bad.

I see Alessia Cara being a steady chart fixture… the Grammys f***** up bad by snubbing her for Best New Artist. and while Zayn topped the charts then fizzled, Niall is going the same slowly and steady route… kudos to him!

I’m glad. I was tired of all these gay dudes arguing over “Stan” this “Stan” that. Just let the music play. Dam.
