LeToya Luckett serves up a slice of the cinematic in the video for new single ‘Back 2 Life.’
Written, directed, and produced by Michael Vaughn Hernandez (along with the singer), the clip sees the Destiny’s Child graduate flex her acting muscles. Apt, as she’s spent recent years racking up credits in shows such as ‘Single Ladies’ and most recently ‘Rosewood.’

Granted we long for Luckett to release singles with more commercial bite, the video makes for an arresting watch.

Wow. I never really checked for LL like that but that was powerful and authentic. Chicken heads benup in here talking about low budget – but it’s about the content – that was a well constructed story of a breakup – I wasn’t thinking about budget because the story held my attention and made me want to know what was gonna happen next. And – she looked great.
She doesn’t need a commercial sound, everyone is not a sell out. She is sticking to gritty and real R&B. Love both the video and song.
