Last night’s Grammys brought forward an Adele sweep, with the Brit vocalist cementing her titan status with the biggest award of the night – Album of the Year.
And while the songbird’s ‘25‘ era is undoubtedly deserving of accolades, many (including the singer herself) deemed Beyonce most deserving of the AOTY honor.

It’s well intentioned since Adele is an obvious stan but I kinda wish she didn’t say anything. Whether she wants to be or not Adele is now the certified muse of the Grammy and as a white woman, her constantly gushing over Beyonce will only taint any AOTY that Beyonce may eventually win because some people will always question how much is it that Beyonce wins it artistry alone or that the Grammy’s felt pressure because they’ve been called out by their chosen one.

What does she have to do to win album of the year? How about she RELEASES an actual album of the year. As much hysteria that there was surrounding “Lemonade” (deserving so for the visuals and concept behind it), the music was all very forgetful. There’s maybe 2 songs off that project that I even remember after all these months. Like I said, she definitely deserves her praise for the thought that went into it….but MUSICALLY it was not an album of the year. Obviously that’s just my opinion, but I feel like Adele had a much more solid album.

This what all the controversy and becky and dust to side chicks come from. Rachael roy rita ora etc were harassed because there were presumed to be becky. Hive members even turned on jay but now she’s pregnant and everyone sees it was just a concept it turns into a political album. Beyonce sells extraordinary videos to mask the music.
Even though Beyoncé DESERVED AOTY. I’m happy Adele at least Adele recognizes the greatness that is Lemonade. But at the end of the day Beyoncé put out an amazing album with critical acclaim and Topped many peoples charts as the best album of 2016. Y’all can say whatever y’all want to say about it. Beyoncé did that and she’ll continue to go down in history as one of the GREATEST.
Adele should have just accepted that last award gracefully and happily. How can you give your well deserved moment to another? One who in fact, would never had done what you did. Adele, truth be told, Beyonce would have enjoyed that priceless moment.

Adele is so f****** real! I’m not a fan of her music so much, but I’ve always been drawn to her as a person! Don’t get me wrong, she’s talented and I appreciated her presence in this decade (especially during the’21’ album)! She brought us back to the basics and out of a period where the industry was going too far left with gimmicks! Everything she stated about Beyonce summed it up perfectly! Beyonce has been very relevant since 2000! This woman has been a hot topic for at least 17 years now! Deep down (whether some want to admit it or not), we know what it is! The industry is full of politics! What the f*** does Bey have to do to get this award?!! If this album was made by another female, equally as talented as Bey and less “threatening”, she’d EASILY go home with a truck load of those Grammys! It’s just now getting to a point where there’s a limit on Bey’s accomplishments because she’s accomplished so much! I love Adele but 25 winning was not it. But I am glad that if anyone it was her. I do appreciate Adele’s back to the basics approach to music. The focus has been on Beyonce and Rihanna and I have not lent any saltiness towards Drake. So insert Drake hate here: He is trash. Okay back to Beyonce. Yes. She deserved AOTY. But it is interesting.
