Migos Moves To Motown

Published: Friday 17th Feb 2017 by David

Motown has welcomed Migos to its family!

Good news below…

The trio’s #1 single ‘Bad & Boujee‘ continues to soar globally and, by way of its sales, gave Motown/Capitol good reason to pick them up via Quality Control Music.

Hits Daily Double adds:

Capitol Music Group ruler Steve Barnett and Motown Prez Ethiopia Habtemariam are leading the charge on this following the explosive growth of Lil Yachty, further strengthening their ties to QC and the Atlanta market.

Fantastic!

motown has been going downhill smh, and this is why, no longer signing grammy winning ARTIST but anything that popular right now. Congrats to them, but i don’t see them lasting longer than two years.

    • MrsQuavo February 17, 2017

But they’ve been around since 2014 and have dropped hit after hit, with no signs of slowing down. You mad bih?

      • Credits February 17, 2017

Really?! I’ve never heard of them until now.

Congrats to my babies! They have been dropping nothing but hits since they stepped onto the scene. Often imitated, never duplicated b******!!

    My thoughts?

These individuals just disparaged the LGBT community (a huge segment of this website) with their idiotic reply to Makoneen recently coming out. Why are they still being promoted here?

    • Qaz February 17, 2017

Because buffoons like you will click on the article and leave a comment asking why. If you don’t like the way they “disparaged the LGBT community” (lol), then don’t buy their music. You’re overemotional feelings and desire to see them suppressed ain’t gonna stop other people from checking them…or blogs from posting about them.

    WOW what a terrible decision.

Mila J is on that label and they haven’t done much for her. Charlamagne even convinced her on The Breakfast Club that that label is terrible and they don’t promote their artists. Now she is seeing that. B Smyth also left due to the same thing.

True, but these young men already have a following and do their own promotions. I don’t know why they would sign to a label, but hey, I guess it was a good deal. Artist have to put in the work, the days of having the label do everything is dead.

Motown is legendary but when did they last produce a significant hit?

Good lucky to them and some of the label are not good at all
