New Song: Maroon 5 & Future – ‘Cold’

Published: Tuesday 14th Feb 2017 by Sam

Maroon 5 continue their embrace of Urban with new single ‘Cold.’

Future joins Adam Levine and co on the cut, which follows Billboard smash ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ (which featured Kendrick Lamar). It serves as the second single from the group’s sixth studio album.

A melodic mid-tempo, the track awaits your listening after the jump…

Cute.

Look out for the video for ‘Cold’ (directed by Rich Lee) tomorrow.

I like the song but it’s so not Future’s brand, image or style. It’s way too mainstream and pop. I’m not trying to stop him from getting a paycheck, evolving or eating. I guess, I’m like why? This could have been any rapper, French Montana, Drake…mmm Future…Nope nope nope.

I think what she was trying to say that in the FUTURE she would like ADAM inside of him. *Cough* Hope that clears things up.

Cute but I prefer “Don’t Wanna Know”, Adam is getting so predictable, still love him.

I wish they would go back to the style of their first and second albums. I haven’t really enjoyed their stuff in years.

Back during the “moves like jagger” days it was new and different and fit the musical landscape but since they have been desperately trying to continue their pop sound in favor of the more alternative which I don’t like on them. Feels more like a money grab or chasing for hits than true artistic vision.

That said they do have the hits that I would love to go to a concert and see them so maybe it is a smart move idk.

I still have to listen but days ago when I saw they were on a song together I was like wtf. First Nicki Minaj, then Kendrick Lamar, now Future… they are just trying to hard to crossover these days. Hell I guess add Wiz Khalifa to that list I said too.
    ??
I much preferred the soul pop alt rock sound they had 2004-2007 on first two major label albums, it was organic and unique.

I wish they made more songs like “Lady Killer”…Sigh!

    Meh

Just seems like they are doing the same thing over and over. i have not listen to the song yet, but throwing a rapper into the song, light feel good beat and simple lyrics is what they are doing now a days. I had a friend who said they were becoming too mainstream and selling out, i can see it now years later and it is starting to look mariah bad desperation bc it is so obvious.
