P!nk & Justin Timberlake Set To Release New Albums This Year

Published: Friday 24th Feb 2017 by Nehemiah

It’s safe to say P!nk and Justin Timberlake have earned their spots as two of modern Pop’s leading acts.

The powerful pair have sold over 45 million records each over the span of their solo careers. And now, that number will increase as they lock-in 2017 for their perspective album releases.

Full story below…

After the gigantic success of 2016’s ‘Just Like Fire,‘ P!nk seemed poised to issue an LP in the latter part of last year. But the project was quietly put on the back burner after the star announced that she was expecting her second child – a month before giving birth.

Her last album, 2012’s ‘The Truth About Love,‘ serves as the second biggest record of her career, selling over 7 million copies. So it’s safe to say the aforementioned has high expectations.

The singer’s RCA/Sony label-mate JT is also brewing fresh material.

Following his Academy Award nominated single ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling,’ Timberlake has been hard at work in studio with past collaborators Pharrell and Timberland trying to perfect his spin on the southern sound.

In a recent interview with THR, he says of the project:

“It sounds more like where I’ve come from than any other music I’ve ever made. It’s Memphis. It’s Southern American music. But I want to make it sound modern — at least that’s the idea right now.”

************

Both albums sound promising. It’ll be interesting to see when they drop and who they’ll be up against. Not to mention, Timberlake’s new southern sound – which itself sounds like a marked departure from the music he’s been delivering over the decades.

Ugh, Christina…You better hop-skip-and-a-jump on that release unless want more competition!

A day will come when you think you are safe and happy, and your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth. And you will know the debt is paid… there will come a day when Beyoncé will indeed flop. Sure she’s on top now but what goes up most comes down.

All of Pinks music sounds the same to me. She should take a more soulful approach this time around.
I don’t mean full blown R&B like her debut album, but something different than that pop-rock stuff that she’s been releasing over the years.
Justin’s last album did nothing for me. Hopefully he’ll bring it this time around even though he will be successful regardless.

Hmmmmm So after JT done milked the R&B lane he’s moving in a different direction and going more southern? Sounds less like evolution and more like trying to target an older audience. His last album was dry and overated and he just comes across as tired ass daddy trying to keep up with the kids. Good luck with that though.

P!NK is a steady slaying machine!! These other pop girls can’t see her in any area. Vocals, consistent sales, even dancing (I want her to dance again! Lol) Hi Katy! ?? ?

Justin is so over rated ! Still can’t believe his can’t stop the feeling is going to win a oscar! Pink is a silent slayer. She slays but makes no impact lol

If they both retired I wouldn’t mind. Him more than her!

What does southern music sound like compare to country music? Southern can still be rnb. Anthony Hamilton is a country rnb singer and That Girl from 20/20 was very much his sound. I could have heard that as a duet with Justin and Anthony.
