Watch: Jennifer Hudson Performs ‘Remember Me’ On ‘The Voice’

Published: Sunday 5th Mar 2017 by Sam

Jennifer Hudson is wasting no time hitting the promotional trail for new single ‘Remember Me.’

The Grammy and Oscar winner, who is a coach on ‘The Voice UK,’ took to the stage on the hit show tonight to perform the track.

In a bid to ensure the spectacle was a home-run, J.Hud brought powerhouse vocals, dancers, a choir and a band.

Watch them in action after the jump…

Strong showing. We approve. Do you?

It takes more than just a big voice to make it in the industry. Her voice is incredible but music is boring and basic. Spotlight was her best song. She falls in the line with Leonia Lewis, Fantasia, Jazmine Sullivan and all those other boring belters.

Fantasia and Jazmine are NOT in the same category as Jennifer as it pertains to music, artistry and musical success. Jazmine is not in here prime anymore but has a loyal fanbase. The thing is, they’d rather see her live and stream instead of buying her music. Fantasia fell on bad music choice and promotions recently, this is her first real flop musically, critically and commercially as she’s always been able to obtain at least 2 of those doing each of her album cycles. She’s always had atleast 1 single that everyone knew from each project and received ‘okay’ radio support. Jennifer hasn’t been musically popular since “I Remember Me” and that was 2011. “JHUD” was complete dated trash that seemed rushed and through out after so many pushbacks. She’s an actress who occasionally release albums at this point.

Fantasia and jasmine could never shine like Jennifer Hudson, people pay millions to see Jennifer perform, Jennifer is a fashion icon, she is the only Rb girl that is considered Beyonce competition, Jennifer had a sold out concert, 1 number one hit on billboard, an Oscar, Grammy, golden globe. And an emmy, and she will get a tony before fantasia rotten egg self, image wise she better than jasmine this song us gonna blow up, watch, Jennifer Hudson us the black Adele, and Jennifer is far from boring, fantasia is boring jasmine is boring from their appearance to their singing, this is why you will never see fantasia and Jennifer perform at the Grammy’s or national anthem or the important shows

Puahahahaha Fantasia and Jazmine are real artists who have their own styles. Jennifer Hudson hasn’t had a good role in over a decade, and her last 2 albums BOMBEDDDD. Fantasia has two platinum albums, two gold albums numerous sold out tours a Grammy and multiple nominations under her belt.

You’re crazy to put Jazmine in a category with Jennifer when it comes to her catalog. Nothing is boring about the emotionally heart wrenching ballads that Jazmine Sullivan sings or the stories she tells in her music.

The is not single material. This is more of a bonus track or b-sides. Her voice doesn’t fit it at all. Her voice doesn’t fit alot of songs well, it’s so damn heavy, she could’ve been a great gospel singer but even then it’s to much.

Give Adele this same song & its #1, Grammy winning. Give it to a BLACK artist & it fails to chart. #TheMusicIndustry

Tell the truth shame the devil. Black female vocalists (except Beyonce and Rihanna) are banned from mainstream radio Jennifer, Jazmine and Fantasia should have crossover airplay.

      • HiElsie March 6, 2017

Jennifer Hudson does, fantasia and jazmu r don’t

Don’t understand why this woman isn’t a bigger star. She definitely has the best female voice in the business!!

    • Mocha March 5, 2017

Because she’s boring…..her voice is boring, her style is boring, her personality is boring, her music is boring…. STALE!!

    • Jasmine March 6, 2017

Ask Simon that? I think she is already a huge star that may have reached her peak too early on. Anyone that has won awards like an Oscar, grammies, gloden globe, etc is already a big star.

    Jennifer Hudson sucks.

  8. VZW March 5, 2017

    I like it

  10. Champagne&Sunsets March 5, 2017

I had such high hopes for her musical direction when she released Think Like a Man. Sadly she kept dropping boring duds shortly after. Jennifer needs to change her sound. This is dated and forgettable.

  11. Jasmine March 6, 2017

Jennifer has the vocal talent and industry connections to be a bigger music artist. However she needs direction from her label and producers to bring her hits. Perhaps new management should be her first step followed by a smash single as her second. You have to take risks and a new management team getting her to work with new producers would be good,

Remember Me” is a well written song co-wrote by Ms. Jennifer Hudson. Ms. Hudson appears to be in the right lane when it comes to her new single “Remember Me.” Fans have waited patiently for this type of song and she soars effortlessly without questioning of her true talent. I can feel the raw emotions she gives to this song which connects with me and others. The Harmony’s are superb with no over singing when you hear the chorus and melody’s. The ending fade out is also great in which you get to hear her lowery registry voice instead of a large note heading to the moon (we all know she can blow the roof off of a house, sometimes less is best in this situation). Fans and New Fans will remember Jennifer Hudson with this strong mid tempo ballad. Ms. Hudson has a hit on her hands with this song and being on ‘The Voice’ UK doesn’t hurt promoting this single. This is her best song to date and she co-wrote it. WOW…give the lady a break people with the negativity.
