The Pop force hasn’t been living up to her billing following the blink and you miss it chart run of ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ and the outright tanking of follow-up ‘Bon Appétit.’ She also found herself in the midst a serious race allegation.
Clearly in a reflective mood (perhaps about the misfires), Perry took to Instagram to share a passage about hardship and perseverance. Maybe just maybe as a note to self.

Again, one has to wonder what will become of Perry’s upcoming album in the wake of her single woes. How can she resuscitate the era?

A single not doing great is not a downfall. Her first single was a semi hit. It just wasn’t number one. This culture of labeling everything a flop is inaccurate and annoying..
Debuting at #4 then nose-diving soon thereafter is a flop sis…. you’re delusional.
There’s nothing flop-worthy about being in the top 5 of the billboard hot 100, debut or otherwise. I’m no fan of hers but facts are facts.
