Mariah Carey To Join Nicole Scherzinger On The ‘X Factor’ ?

Published: Thursday 18th May 2017 by David

Last week fans of the ‘X Factor UK‘ discovered that Mariah Carey could be expected to join the show to replace Nicole Scherzinger as a judge.

This week, these fans find themselves faced with the possibility that the ladies may be forced to work together after it emerged that Scherzinger was staying put.

A source close to production told ‘The Sun’:

Nicole is so highly thought off by X Factor that there was always the intention to tie her down for another year.

Once she heard other names being mentioned, she was keen to get her deal locked down and it’s now there to sign. Mariah’s name is still in the frame and, given it’s X Factor, it’s safer not to rule anything out.

How do you think the ladies will fare if forced to judge alongside each other?

Mariah Carey was an excellent judge and has a “REAL” icon history. She has paid her dues, written all her songs and had iconic success. Mariah/Whitney/Aretha/Celine/Madonna/Janet = icons.

Add Barbra and Tina Turner to that list NOW 🙂

I think mariah carey has all the right to be a jugde but since she las her own label she should create a show instead if being on one, about getting artist similarly to what kelly rowland did for bet. I dont think mariah needs to work with others because she’s legendary and will alway son them although its rude she has the longevity

I agree with everything you said. It is time for Mariah to make a comeback not just sit on a judge’s panel (a gig for retired icons and seasoned never-it-off-solo-but-still-f-able type talents (Rita and Nicole). New album+New tour + signing new artists is the way to go. Mariah could pull a J-Lo and just make everything work while collecting network checks but I don’t see X factor UK paying Mariah anywhere near what she was getting from Idol.

Didn’t work on Idol so don’t try it on XFUK. Just make it a 3 male 1 female if MiMi is joining

If she doesn’t get her stiff ass in the studio and make an album!!! 🙄 I’m a lifelong Lamb, but I’m not here for another talent show scandal. Please just make some music, fire Stella, continue owning the holidays, and take better care of your voice!!

I think Mariah will do everything you said do. Unlike other older artists, Mariah is not SHY when it comes to putting out albums and putting herself out there. Her courage is commendable and I got her much money in the past.

If she join the X Factor UK then it’s great to have her on the show. But if not then she could join the X Factor Australia.
