New Song: TLC – ‘Haters’

Published: Friday 5th May 2017 by David

Haters gonna hate / People gon’ say what they say / We don’t care about that anyway.

The cut appears on the final LP which impacts retailers on June 30th and sees the ladies address their doubters and naysayers with lyrics and production which stand a long way away from the material which turned the group into a household name.

Way Back is really good but this track seems like a step back, considering that this is gonna be the groups final album I was expecting more. Still a huge fan but this song is a no.

  2. Dev May 5, 2017

I didn’t listen, i’m all for TLC but you have to be yourself but an evolved version, and 40+ year old women singing about “haters” just wont be for me.

    • Savage_life May 5, 2017

Right like inwas thinking the same thing

  3. Liam May 5, 2017

    I like it…..cute album track

    • Mateo May 5, 2017

i know…it’s def not a single. It sounds dated as well, like a song that could sit well in 2003-2004.

  4. Frank May 5, 2017

Another track without left eye rapping smh

    • Honestly Truly May 5, 2017

They already said Lisa wasn’t going to be on this album

    • Caleb May 6, 2017

You do know she has been dead since 2002 right?

  5. Nonya May 5, 2017

It’s a no for me sis! But I do like way back tho.

  6. RC81 May 5, 2017

Love TLC, but this is a ‘no’ from me. I wanted more and this feels like a ‘teeny bopper’ song from the early noughties. I am still praying that we are going to get some Lefteye on the album, but my hope is fading.

It will be a real shame if they don’t get her on this record somehow considering this is them bowing out.

Agree with the rest of you though – Way Back is a jam!

They already said that Left Eye isn’t gonna be on any songs, I think they cited legal reasons (copyright claims to her recordings)… They said they might put her in some interludes though, so maybe she’ll pop up on the one interlude on the album? Or maybe there’ll be some snippets in between songs that contain her voice… we’ll see!

      H0 left eye is dead

  7. MUSICHEAD May 5, 2017

This song is a step in the right direction but still on the generic side. It’s hard to believe that a group built on being ground breaking and original is now reduced to filler tracks and boring material. Was Left eye the only creative member of the group or were they all just producer’s puppets?

    • Jasmine May 5, 2017

This style of music was “groundbreaking” in the 90s. Why are you hating? You cannot expect an artist to always be “groundbreaking”. Everyone has their season and TLC’s was in the 90s with all 3 members.

  8. TheLittleTings May 5, 2017

People have to understand that there are behind the scenes politics and situations that just can’t be resolved … they tried to give Left Eye’s old raps a chance and it just didn’t fit the new material . it isn’t as easy as some people may think . . I’m not too sure about this single tho , after a few listens it really is catchy , but they’ll need a super dope video to really push this . I love this girls and I wish them the best of success .

  9. DTG May 5, 2017

Wish they’d change the name of that tour. It’s not a good look to be on the road as part of some “oldies” revue. Fake ass, played out hasbeen Mariah Carey wouldn’t even participate in concert series that was tagged “90’s”.

    • Jasmine May 5, 2017

You cannot compare T-Boz and Chilli to Mariah Carey. Mariah is the only one of those 3 that had a long-running SOLO career. T-Boz and Chilli are just 2/3 members of TLC and they never had successful solo careers. It is perfectly acceptable when SWV, En Vogue, Salt n Pepa, New Kids On the Block, Boyz II Men go on similar tours so why is not ok for T-Box and Chili to do the same thing. It is just a tour and I think this first tour could be a good stepping stone for them to tour by themselves later on.

  10. Justafan May 5, 2017

    This track is OLD…..try again

  11. IKNOWTHETRUTH May 5, 2017

WHERE IS THE SONG GAGA WROTE CALLED “POSH LIFE”?

    • Jasmine May 5, 2017

Nobody want gaga leftovers. Gaga is the queen of getting leftover tracks so if one were to record something Gaga leftover it would be a waste of money / time.

    • Julian May 6, 2017

That song is old af, why would they want to include a leaked outtake from five years ago?

  12. Jackx May 5, 2017

This is horrible, Ive always been a fan, but this sounds boring and dated af. Even the album cover is horrible

  13. Mateo May 5, 2017

Y’all a bunch of old ass NOBODIES! Lol
    “This song sounds dated”
    “Filler track”
“40 yo women shouldn’t sing about haters”
“It’s a no from me sis”
Lmao this song is EXACTLY FOR YOU!
Like damn if you had it your way TLC would be singing about menopause and child birth! Get a grip haters, this song is classic “love you for you” TLC real ness! Now you will hit play and deal with their slayage!

    • Jasmine May 5, 2017

Stans like you are the reason artists flop. Nothing is wrong with truthful criticism. When you simply kiss your fav’s as$ all the time and fake love anything they put out, you are contributing to that artist’s flop when consumers as a whole don’t like the material. All of the comments on here are from people that want TLC to win!

  14. I HATE BLACK WOMEN and WHITE B****** May 6, 2017

HATER. ….THE TITLE ALONE IS 15 years past due……

  15. Caleb May 6, 2017

This single cover should’ve been the album cover honestly.

  16. Imo80 May 8, 2017

Both way back and this one are boring fillers, it’a sad to watch them coming back after so long with such lame songs. This album will be a flop and will be forgotten one week after the release, no need to be haters to see that coming.
