New Song: TLC – ‘It’s Sunny’

Published: Monday 29th May 2017 by Rashad

As the ladies of TLC prepare for the June 30th release of their fifth and final album, the duo continue to share tidbits of what fans can expect from it.

Already earning thumbs up for the Snoop Dogg-assisted ‘Way Back’ and its follow-up ‘Haters,’ now the twosome are serving up ‘It’s Sunny.’  A disco-flavored affair, the song lives up to its title courtesy of its uplifting lyrics and lively horn-filled instrumentation.

See what we mean below:

‘Sunny’ is the latest gem lifted from the duo’s 12-track, self-titled final album.  Click here to see the full track list.

This song is terrifying. I literally cringed when it came on. I’ve always appreciated TLCs R&B-Pop fusion sound, but this is overproduced (and lacks direction). What were they going for?

    • Fancy BISH May 29, 2017

T-boz know she got that verse melody from “Just a sprinkle a day, watch your ho fade away” lol

      • Sam May 30, 2017

These youngins don’t know bout that remover! Lmao

  2. Monica May 29, 2017

WHAT HAPPEN??? These songs are horrible. How did they lose all the magic

    • Fancy BISH May 29, 2017

Pebbles is somewhere laughing over a bottle of red wine lol

  3. eric May 29, 2017

Yikes. This is not going to be a good album. I know TLC is better than this. They CANNOT go out this way!!

  4. Liam May 29, 2017

It’s cute for what it is.

    • Fancy BISH May 29, 2017

      S***** chile lol

  5. Casual-T May 29, 2017

It’s not that bad. With the right remix, I hear hit potential here.

  6. Ajax May 29, 2017

TLC is tarnishing the legacy that once was. Girls
    have two seats

  7. LiveYoLife2017 May 29, 2017

This is so disappointing. “Way Back” is the only good song Ive heard that was good.

  8. GAVIN GAVALLI May 29, 2017

I knew something was wrong when I saw that wack album cover ! please go back to the drawing board. call on missy drake and timbaland ! this is coming from a die hard TLC fan! This album is not done!

    • Jasmine May 29, 2017

You have to pay Missy and Drake. This is how albums go when they are made off of gofundme money. The artists keeps most of the money and records track from no-name producers that will produce songs free in exchange for backend money.

      • BCinKS May 30, 2017

I’ve heard hot tracks from no-name producers. Even ones local and I live in Kansas. THIS is not even trying. Like they just took the first 10 beats/songs they received and called it a day.

And this album sounds like it’s going to be exactly what it was….a go fund me project. I feel punk’d. Where’s the real TLC?

    • Fancy BISH May 29, 2017

The real TLC is somewhere spending $400,000 dollars lol

  10. Fancy BISH May 29, 2017

It’s S***** lol…what kind of Crustin Timberlake reject?

  11. Lmfao_Hoe May 29, 2017

Lord this proves by far Left Eye truly was the creative one behind each project. The label did Lisa wrong too with her first attempt with her solo album Supanova,

    • Jasmine May 30, 2017

Left Eye was very talented but there is no “creative one” behind TLC’s success. It was a group effort. All you have to do is look up the credits to their greatest hits CD and you will see it was the creative efforts of Babyface, Dallas Austin, Left Eye, and LA Reid (he picked many of the producers / writers like Kandi Buress, Jermaine Dupri, Dallas, etc), and more. The problem here is that this album is being made independently without a major label backing coupled with TLC signed to an inexperienced manager, Bill Diggins. A better manager would have gotten TLC a proper record deal and had an official album drop two months before their movie biopic. They let their momentum go by not taking advantage of the promotion that came in from the movie.

      • !Yup May 31, 2017

Bill Diggins is not inexperienced. He has been around and got them big money during fanmail era.
You don’t need 500k to record a great album today, mainstream or otherwise. They simply did not put
their best foot forward and maybe even cutting corners. Im thnking involving ppl like Ron Fair
who did produce Sunny could be the issue. Its not really independent.

i LOVE me some tlc. but this… idk what this is…

  13. ? + ✈ = ? May 29, 2017

I love TLC! But this song, haters and that album artwork are straight up TRASH! They need their team back(Dallas, LA and Babyface) this is a major $hit stain on their amazing legacy ???

  14. #TeamTinashe Stan May 29, 2017

    WTF?
OK bye entirely TLC. You’ve wasted our money to give us some Disney bull crap!
    HASHTAG: #GoBackToTheDrawingBoard

  15. I HATE WHITE and BLACK B****..,,,,ES.. May 30, 2017

Cute….this is a kid friendly song… Great for a kid party…you don’t know nothing about marketing

  16. Sam May 30, 2017

    What a waste of a sample .
This is a song sounds like it would’ve been a B side on a Spice girls song at the height of their fame.
This is dated a real rubbish. How are you going to exit the music business with a laughing flop of an album? None of the songs have really appealed to me

  17. DanYiel Iman May 30, 2017

I donated $10 & I still didn’t receive my album..I’m not a TLC fan but I supported the group after Left Eyes passing…DC3 is my group no matter the changes or not…?✅

  18. Justafan May 30, 2017

    Hits mute

  19. RC81 May 30, 2017

I love myself some TLC, but each time I hear a new track, I die a little more inside.
Please stop with these insipid pop tracks and bring back some of you originality.

The people on this post are right (and I don’t normally agree), but this is not the way to go out after a cracking career!

    It s a ‘no’ from me! :o(

  20. Truth May 30, 2017

Yeah, that’s terrible. I’ve always adored TLC, but I’m not feeling anything that’s been presented so far with this new album. Including that “Way Back” junk. It all sounds cheap. What happened to their signature collaborators? Babyface and Dallas Austin. Neither are in-demand the way they were 20 years ago, so I would imagine that working with them again wouldn’t have been that complicated or expensive. These new tracks sound like they were written and produced by some first year college student, majoring in music production. They need to grab somebody who knows what they’re doing and quickly remix this whole album BEFORE it becomes commercially available.

  21. Jackx May 30, 2017

Yikes this album is such a mess.
Y’all need to scrap this go back to the drawing board
sounds like some kidz bop s***

  22. Tyme May 30, 2017

I love TLC but they have always been a messed up group ( record label behind all the mess). The real opportunity TLC had was right after Fanmail, a good TLC album should have been dropped later 2000 /earlier 2001. In this album, Arista should have given the creative command to Left Eye who would surely embrace an album where she leads the raps. At that time, hip hop mixed with R&B was very strong therefore an album lead by Left Eye would have been a huge success!

  23. Joe June 23, 2017

Im a big tlc fan , so far every song released is garbage, what’s going on ? Will these songs grow on me? So far not. I won’t conisder buying this album unless i can hear the whole thing and i like at least half of it

They need to do more work on this one .
