New Video: Camila Cabello – ‘Crying In The Club’

Published: Friday 19th May 2017 by Sam

Well, that didn’t take long.

Camila Cabello kicked off her solo campaign this morning with the premiere of her debut solo single ‘Crying In The Club’ (which she co-penned with Sia).

A mere matter of hours later and the former Fifth Harmony star shakes things up with the video for the radio-ready track.

Directed by Emil Nava, the visual awaits below. Check it out…

Slick, stylized, and sassy.

All that was missing was a sickening dance break.

Nonetheless, a decent first swing of the bat.

Cabello’s debut album ‘The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving’ lands later this year.

Tidbit: Did anyone else notice some of the not-so-subtle symbolism? The bathroom scene (in relation to her recently shared note about being depressed in a bathroom floor? Breaking of the box? Interesting.

Your thoughts?

i wish the video had better quality other that that it’s a good first single, the song playing in the beginning needs to be a single !

The video is whatever, but the song is lazy. She left a successful group just to put out music that sounds like everything else on the radio. I think she should’ve worked a little longer on her music to craft a more original sound.

yeah, this midtempo song is ok, but she straight up sampled Genie in a bottle chorus melody. I think it didn’t strike gold, but hit silver. I hope 5H strikes with a banging single to pull ahead of her. I

This is so unlike me but i wish RiRi sang this song. Sia’s voice on certain songs is too distinct.
