Published: Saturday 6th May 2017 by Sam

Tamar Braxton is wasting no time tackling her new single ‘My Man’ live.

The 40-year-old performed the emotional song during her Houston, Texas show last night and made sure its inaugural offering was one to remember.

Employing the length and breadth of her impressive range, Ms. She, Me, Her soared to vocal heights with the track – which she says lays bare the reason for her parents break-up.

Watch below…

She did that.

Tamar can definitely grate at times, but her talent is undeniable.

Amazing performance.

Haven’t her parents been divorced for like 25 years? Girl…

And? What’s that got to do with making a new song about the situation? People write songs about old ass experiences and events literally all the time. Not to mention her parent’s divorce+her daddy’s new woman are currently a big storyline for their reality show. So it’s a tie-in to what’s going on, on Braxton Family Values. Smart marketing, tbh. Lol. Cuz that’s what everyone is talking about regarding the show…

I ❤️ Tamar! Not the best live performer though. But let’s s be clear…I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with this track. Despite it being about an affair that was like a million years ago, the passion in the lyrics are there and notably relatable.

Sorry as cute as this song is, she won’t pull the big numbers her ashy soprano tones bare unto her…✌🏽😁

That is Tamar problem all that extra singing is not necessary because she end up pitchy and flat. Did you all see the whole performances? Just sing the song!

Always doing the most. Just sing without the antics. Someone needs to slap that into her head.

Y’all h*** always trying to perfect somebody .. you’re did y’all forget this was recorded on a dam cellphone in an arena.. and so dam what if she was pitchy.. it’s still live not a track like most.. and to you stupid sponge brain h*** talking about the affair being a million years ago.. it’s not like she was producing music back then ..

Chris, we see you. We all know you’re TAMAR. She holds herself back.

Slayed. She sounds so good. Not pitch-perfect but awesome nonetheless. She looks great and her stage presence is also improving.

She’ll definitely get better as she goes on & continues performing. This is her first live performance since like last year, so of course she isn’t gonna be 100% flawless, since she hasn’t been performing in a while. On top of this being a totally brand new song for her to sing and find her groove with (in a live setting). Once she keeps performing and being consistent at it, and finds her groove with performing the new song and gets comfortable with it and really working it live, she’ll def slay it even better than she did here. But this was a good first live showing of the song. Props.
