Katy Perry Reveals She Contemplated Suicide

Published: Saturday 10th Jun 2017 by David

Katy Perry has revealed that she has contemplated suicide during the darkest hours of her life.

During a conversation with Dr. Siri Sat Nam Singh of Viceland, the ‘By the Grace of God‘ singer spoke openly about her battle with depression as she juggled the pressures life burdened her with.

I wrote a song about it. I feel ashamed that I would have those thoughts, feel that low and that depressed.

Her brave admission arrived as the world celebrates the release of her new album ‘Witness‘ and as unconfirmed reports claim fame and her love for secular music has hurt her Christian parents.

Your thoughts?

She is all over the place, girl, grow ya hair out, stick to your brand and get the coins. The CD is not bleak as some made it, its a cute bop. She can fix this. Release the single with Nicki, do a Mariah/Nicki like video (up out my face was cute), and get back to the top of the charts.

Oh she wants to tell us now that she’s dropping an album

I guess I’m suppose to feel sorry for her and sympathize right? When you sell your soul, this is what happens.

A Britney-style meltdown is hovering on the horizon.

I don’t think that’s fair of her to disclose this at the timing of which she’s doing so. There are people who struggle with depression/anxiety with good reason–myself included, and I never want or wanted the attention I see this woman seeking. It’s distasteful and disgusting. If she did indeed suffer with a bout of depression, I hope she did get help, but I’m proud to say I walked right pass Witness without any intentions to buy.

Nor is it fair for you to police the way someone expresses themselves, especially when it comes to their battle with depression.

You’re exactly what’s wrong with stan and consumer culture. She’s talking about her personal life and here you are trying to cast judgement on her by proudly declaring you’re not buying her album. No one asked you. You’re entitled to your opinion, but if you think your form of mental health issues and the way you choose to deal with it is the only right way, then you need to open your mind and show others the compassion you’d like to receive yourself.

That is sad to hear. I hope you received some form of therapy and support.

I did sweetheart. Thanks for asking. I hope you understood the nature of my initial comment. Enjoy your evening.
