New Video: Tamar Braxton – ‘My Man’

Published: Sunday 25th Jun 2017 by Sam

Fresh from  a spirited performance at the 2017 BET Awards, Tamar Braxton has hatched the video for current single ‘My Man.’

Much more narrative-driven than previous efforts, the clip sees the 40-year-old R&B star live out the lyrics of the sassy track.

The black and white visual is the first to be lifted from Braxton’s brand new album, which is slated to hit stores later this year.

Watch below…

Though the video doesn’t boast the biggest budget, it does compliment the song well…enough.

Can somebody please tell me what was that, poor Tamar she just can’t get it right. The sad part is she can sing but preforming is not in her cards.

That performance was a mess…like she has no clue what she singing about.

Great video, funny as hell. I like the new song in the video too, tho I’m not a damn of ballads. Her performance was definitely a highlight. BET did goodbye choosing the r&b talent this year tho they need to lay off the rappers. Her performance was so f****** good.

    When a video ruins a song…
There are independent artists that put out better videos than this, it wasn’t the budget it was the fact that everything was poorly executed.

This was just awful. extremely poor editing of the song starting & stopping throughout the video. This much like much of her live efforts was underwhelming. Her team needs to STOP…… REEVALUATE……. & TRY AGAIN. This can’t be the same machine that produced GaGa.

I agreee it was a mistake starting and stopping the song throughout the video. , and to do it for dramatic scenes that weren’t even well acted. Makes me less interested in the song.

I can see why Babyface and LA Reid wanted to sign Toni and not the other sisters. Toni has the IT factor. Tamar has the vocal talent but her insecurities prevented her from having the IT factor. Now, it is simply too late for an insecure 40+ year old woman to ever get on Beyonce’s level. No one want to hear nitwit talk and antics from a 40+ year old aunty. You have to be young, secure, and have the natural IT factor to make it like all the other divas did in the past. Insecurity is natural but how well / and how fast you can get over it or hide is what made people like Mariah, Beyonce, Celine, Toni, etc become superstars in the 90s.
