It’s been far from plain sailing for Hip-Pop star Iggy Azalea.
Three years ago, she topped the charts the world over with hits such ‘Fancy’ and ‘Black Widow.’
Fast forward to today and the climate is altogether frostier.
Sophomore album ‘Digital Distortion’ was supposed to have dropped last year, but a succession of oddly handled singles derailed any hope of that.
Now the Aussie bred beauty sits in a state of limo.
Well, according to her, it won’t be for much longer.
See what we mean below…
In series of tweet exchanges with fans, she heavily alludes to changes within her team and label situation.
She assures that she’s been making moves behind the scenes and that press releases will be going out soon.
According to Azalea, “no one’s holding [my] project or song hostage”.
Peep the tea:
We may be in the minority, but we feel for Iggy.
Sure, she did the entire most with her social media melees, however she seems to have clocked game (aka. just keep quiet and release good music).
‘Switch’ remains an almighty bop and it’s still shocking that it was allowed to fall by the wayside.
Time will tell if these changes she’s making will allow her to restore some of her commercial clout.
