New Song: Jazmine Sullivan & Bryson Tiller – ‘Insecure’

Published: Friday 4th Aug 2017 by Nehemiah

If you’re a fan of Issa Rae‘s HBO hit series ‘Insecure,’ then you are aware that the music is just as compelling as the Issa and Lawrence saga. Before episode 3 airs, Jazmine Sullivan and Bryson Tiller merge on the title track for the LA based series.

In the 3-minute track, the drama unfolds between the duo in a back and forth vocal banter over relationship issues and insecurities.

Sullivan offers the woman’s perspective on a broken relationship with her esteemed vocals. As the song progresses, the Philly songstress provides an impressive sing-rap to compliment Bryson’s unique style.

It’s a no on the music, but the vocal arrangement is OK.

This sucks to high heaven. She should have sung this all by herself. Tiller sounds like a little boy with a sore throat, Rofl!!

This is not a good match vocally and not a good song. Jazmine, you can’t go from Reality Show and duets with Mali Music to this.

I heard that collab with Mali and another one with an artist named Niia. Jazmine is playing no games in that lower register of hers. I’m ready for the next album.

This song is really has Jazime holding back to not over shadow Bryson Tiller. He came to my school for a concert (I didn’t go), but everyone who did said there was so much smoke, they couldn’t tell if he was even singing live BC he was kinda binding behind the smoke. Anyways, song is OK, idk why I expected more uptemp when he is an r, emo n b singer. Remember when male n female collabs were vocally epic? Marian n Luther, usher n Monica, Beyonce n Luther, Christina n Ricky,Patti and Michael m, Michael “i just can’t stop loving you” usher n akeys, Keith sweat “nobody”, “endless love” even Chris n Jordin. Vocally, this doesn’t compare
