New Song: Pink – ‘What About Us’

Published: Thursday 10th Aug 2017 by Sam

Pink is back!

The Pop rebel has uncaged her brand new single ‘What About Us.’

Produced by Stevie Mac, the anthemic track is the lead release from the superstar’s upcoming album ‘Beautiful Trauma’ – which was formally announced last night.

With the LP due on October 13th, has Pink popped things off with a win out of the gate? Listen below and let us know!

Sonically, it’s great to see Pink opt for a sound somewhat different to her angsty Pop/Rock prototype – a blueprint she’s relied on for her launch offerings.

This is summery and soothing and packs a powerful message.

Ultimately, this would have perhaps hit harder had it been paired with its video from the get-go, just so as to add a visual exclamation mark to what she’s aiming to get across lyrically.

Nonetheless, word on the curb is that its due imminently. Stay tuned.

I like it! Sounds like something she did before though. It will do well on radio, but this is not a Top 5 Song!

Pink is a great vocalist. LET ME LET YOU KNOW AND STOP FALLING……both songs off her 1st CD are great vocals, very soulful and full of pain. MEAN is also good.

I feel like P!nk is a one trick pony, she’s been singing the same song since 2003

I like it, mainly for the words and purpose of the song along with the beat. It does sound familiar like its been done already but I honestly want PiNK to go back to that 2000 album “Can’t Take Me Home” that album was AWESOME!!!! Her vocals were soulful and powerful in my opinion. For me I haven’t been a BIG PiNK fan after “Missundaztood” honestly. I want PiNK to deliver a upgraded version of Can’t Take Me Home, I truly miss that PiNK. But overall I like the song, I would play it having cocktails with the CREW!!!!

As always Pink is a very safe artist. She is talented yes but nothing wows me ever. This sounds good. And seems like she´ll always get the mainstream and radio on her side with her type of music. It´s not for me. It´s just listenable.

As Pop combinations go, few come as top tier as Eminem and Pink. Having worked together on 2010’s ‘Won’t Back Down,’ the pair last collaborated on the Pink’s 2012 album ‘The Truth About Love’ (on the song ‘Here Comes The Weekend’). And now she’s reportedly returning the favor. Again. Details below…
