Taylor Swift Video Director Denies Copying Beyonce’s ‘Formation’

Published: Saturday 26th Aug 2017 by Rashad

As Youtube and Spotify records lay broken in the wake of the release of her latest single, ‘Look What You Made Me Do,’ pop star Taylor Swift has been garnering her fair share of negative attention for the soon-to-be-chart-topper as well.

The bulk of said criticism is coming from Twitter as the former country darling’s being slammed for images spotted in the song’s forthcoming video that are eerily reminiscent of scenes from the video of Beyonce‘s 2016 hit ‘Formation.

Igniting a firestorm of slams by way of hilarious memes (click here to see them), the hoop-la was so big it got to the desk of Swift’s video director, the famed Joseph Kahn. Read what he had to say about it here:

I swear Beyonce has the most ignorant fan base in the music world. Those insects think everything revolves around her unoriginal a** and they act like she was the first person do to every damn thing in music. I’m not a fan of Taylor’s basic behind but if you’re gonna come at her for copying then you should at least have some knowledge of pop music pre-Beyonce.

And now for a postive news story for Taylor swift..

“With still over two months to go until the release of her upcoming album, Taylor Swift is already smashing records: Early Saturday morning (Aug. 26), her lyric video for “Look What You Made Me Do” had the most views within 24 hours of its debut than any other lyric video in YouTube history.

“Look” was watched more than 19 million times in the 24 hours after its release early Friday morning (Aug. 25). As of Saturday evening, the video had almost 28.5 million views. Watch below.

Swift surpassed the record previously held by The Chainsmokers featuring Coldplay, whose “Something Just Like This” lyric video hit 9 million views in a day back in February”
3 years away and look what you made Taylor do! Hahahahaha

I don´t want basicness like her to top the charts but at least I suppose that song will go straight to #1 and will end Despacito, won´t it? There´s a positive side.

The “V” formation has been a standard since forever. If Taylor is copying anyone, it’s Madonna, the way her dancers have that popularized vogue look.
