New Song: Miguel – ‘Shockandawe’

Published: Thursday 7th Sep 2017 by Sam

Miguel is wasting no time pouring out new music from his fourth studio album.

For, just one week after releasing new single ‘Sky Walker,’ the eclectic talent has followed up with another track ‘Shockandawe.’

Hmm.

Sonically, it’s definitely different and boasts dynamic production.

It does, however, sound like it’s the making of a great song, rather than an actual great song. Almost as if it’s a sketch or demo still being developed.

Still, we continue to be buzzed to hear what he’s been baking in the lab for the follow-up to ‘Wildheart.’

Your thoughts?

This sounds like an early 2000’s neptunes track. Definitely something that pharrell, Kelis or Missy Elliott would body.

This reminds me of early 2000’s Neptunes/N.E.R.D. with highbrow political undertones. I kinda love it, tbh. I’m sure it will make more sense in the context of the album.

Speaking of… I’m excited for his new one. Sky Walker is on repeat. This will be too.
