Fergie is pitchy and is in dire need of auto tune..she can’t seem to find her keys hunnie ?

This needed more Nicki…and to not be all over the place. But mainly more Nicki.

WTF WAS THIS?? Like… I was waiting to hear something and it just never went anywhere…

    • Electrikblue September 8, 2017

Really? I thought Fergie’s rapping in this was great.

Idk… it lacked something… I just felt like it was all over the place

I have a honest question. Not trying to be shady or anything but why do these big artist who can actually carry a song without a feature keeps calling nicki? (DNCE, Katy, Jason Derulo, Zayn, etc) I’m a nicki fan but it’s not like her music is selling like hot cake and she also doesn’t add the same spark as a feature artist like she did in the past. Nicki used to make every song that she was on, so much so that I used to fast forward to her part. But those days are long gone, now she almost brings the songs down. Like she cheapens the songs. Lol

I Agree With You!! To Be Honest With You, I Think Nicki Calls Some Of These Artists As Well. Whoever Asks For Nicki, Nicki Charges A Lot Of $$$$. Whoever Nicki Calls, She’ll Negotiate Her Price(s).

      • Fancy BISH September 12, 2017

        lmao

TBH I’d respectfully disagree. I find that Nicki is still spitting fire verses. Swish Swish, both the song and the video, would be mediocre without Nicki’s verse. Even Swalla, it’s a good song on its own but Nicki’s verse at the end just hypes it all up. And I’m pretty sure she’s the reason those songs were as popular as they were. Swalla is close to 1 billion views, and Swish Swish got over 120 million views in a week.

You say her songs aren’t selling but Swish Swish is Gold, Swalla is Platinum, Rake It Up is Yo Gotti’s first top 10 hit. The gospel song she did with Tasha #1 on the gospel charts. Side To Side was Ariana’s highest charting single during the DW era. Just saying it makes sense why artists would love to work with Nicki still. But keep in mind these features were done a while ago (Fergie, Zayn-which isn’t ever out yet) it’s not Nicki’s fault the songs are being released around the same time.

Now That You Put It That Way, I Take Back What I said About Her Negotiatin’ Prices. Nicki Is Good @ Features & Makin’ Verses. Without A Lot Of The Songs She Featured In, The Song Is Will Be Ok Or Not Good @ All.

Thank you for the this well thought out response. You have me rethinking my original comment. I still think nicki cheapens records tho.

    • binx September 9, 2017

She’s featured on a lot of songs quite simply because she does increase their sales/spins/spotify sales. It’s a fact. I read an article that said something like having Nicki on a song increases sales or plays by something like 160% (don’t quote me i can’t remember exactly). For some reason the black community (especially this blog) love to drag her but the GP are still here for her.

1st of all… my b!+ch gave you barsssss on this track. The flow, metaphors and punch lines were fire!! Fergie turned up on that 2nd verse too. I really enjoyed this video and song. Come thru Fergie Ferg !

  8. RoyalKev September 12, 2017

I actually liked some of the verses, Fergie did that! I hate the hook though! It made me cringe! I see Fergie’s giving us some serious Madonna yoga moves in this video! Only this time , it was well executed and 10x hotter!

    • Fancy BISH September 12, 2017

She trying too hard to be Madge tho lol

  9. eric September 12, 2017

I don’t think it’s as bad as some of you are saying. I grew up on MTV’s The Grind and I remember how popular this sound was in the dance scene. The best sound for Fergie though is “Big Girls Don’t Cry”.

Dope!! classic, nothing short of what i expected

Another HOnika Garbaj guest feature in 2017 = another flop on delivery

  12. SlayLover September 12, 2017

I love my girl Fergie but this era is just a mess. It is obvious that this album took 10yrs to make because the sound is outdated. Nicki’s verse was great and the video is very cool visually, but the song won’t do great in radio.
I’ll still buy the album because I love Fergie but I doubt it will chart on the Top 5.

  13. Lava September 13, 2017

Issa bop I’m shocked fergie can still bop after all these years. Also the song is very original. I’m thinking she is trying to be pitchy which is giving me life. Also the video is giving me “that what I like” vibes. Glad to see Fergie ferg back on the scene. And Nicki’s verse was fire. Best since rake it up
