Chart Check [Hot 100]: Demi Lovato Scores First Top 10 Hit Since 2013

Published: Wednesday 4th Oct 2017 by Rashad

Demi Lovato is in top form if the Hot 100 is anything to judge by.

In addition to seeing her sixth album, ‘Tell Me You Love Me,’ headed straight to the top of album streaming charts next week (#2 overall on the Billboard 200), the powerhouse songstress is also shining on the singles charts.

The set’s lead single, ‘Sorry Not Sorry,’ was released back in early July but – thanks to renewed interest in the track due to promotion of its parent project – the Oak Felder-produced cut has found its way to the top 10.  Coming as not only a victory for Lovato (whose last top 10 hit, ‘Heart Attack,’ peaked in the chart’s topmost dectet in 2013), but also for women overall as this year’s Hot 100 – especially the top 10 – has certainly been in need of some estrogen doses.

See who joins her on the Cardi B-led chart on this week’s refreshed “Chart Check:  Hot 100”:

Demi’s album is damn good and I encourage anyone who’s a fan of pop/Urban R&B to check it out.

Yes! I love this song and her new album is really good, I wasn’t expecting it. Pitty that Shania released on the same day, Demi deserved that #1.

Like it even matters. The state is music has become so bad that it’s basically a dead. A pop hit in 2017 means nothing. Let her score 5 more and I still wouldn’t be impressed.

In a world where a cartoon like Cardi B. can be #1, I’m really not impressed by this.

Child, I was thinking the same thing! People blowing this song up like it’s the 2nd coming of Jesus. Song sound like high school amateur hour.
