Alas, it is to do so without its original star Will Smith.
Good and bad news below…
2019 will deliver the revamped telling of the Sci-Fi comedy via Sony Pictures.
Its due date? May 17th 2019.
Unfortunately, those hoping to catch Smith and Tommy Lee Jones reprise their roles will be disappointed to learn that the dynamic duo are not expected to be called back to do so and will be replaced by a new pair playing entirely new characters.
Walter F. Parkes, Laurie MacDonald and Steven Spielberg are to produce the project and are assisting Sony as it searches high and low for a director to steer its ship.
Will you support the movie if it isn’t fronted by Mr. Smith?
