New Song: Chrisette Michele – ‘Strong Black Woman’

Published: Wednesday 25th Oct 2017 by Rashad

Grammy-winning R&B diva Chrisette Michele may have started her year off on a sour note after battling widespread backlash due to her support of President Donald Trump, but she’s determined for her year to end differently.

Her first step toward making that happen?  New music, of course!  After the masses have had time to “cool off,” Michele makes moves toward her new album, ‘Out of Control’ (in stores April 13, 2018).  The first release from the 12-song set – ‘Strong Black Woman’ – has roared to digital and streaming outlets.

Highlighted with lyrics from Michele as well as production credits from Dee Hill and longtime collaborators Four Kings Productions, get into it below and weigh in:

Did 45 help Miss Chrisette Michelle become a stronger black woman after gettin them coins for inaug? Does this song help stifle the rollbacks of the few protections us people of color obtained during Obama? Does it at least make her feel better for the role she played in our loss under dorito skinned p*ssy grabber?

She made her choice, hope it was worth it. I as well make a choice to NOT support her new endeavors.

She made her choice to support Trump by performing at the Inauguration and after physically purchasing EVERY previous album from her I am now making a choice to NOT Support this song or the album associated with it. I’ve been a fan of hers since College and I’m sad that my feelings of disgust for her overshadows my admiration of her talent. She’s lost my support. “You might win some but you just lost one.”
