New Song: Liam Payne – ‘Bedroom Floor’

Published: Friday 20th Oct 2017 by Sam

Liam Payne‘s quest for solo stardom presses on with the release of new single ‘Bedroom Floor.’

Co-penned by Charlie Puth and Steve Mac, the track finds the former One Direction star once again on Urban-Pop terrain.

He’ll no doubt be looking to best the success of preceding single ‘Strip That Down’ – which went on to come the biggest-selling solo single from a current member of 1D – selling over 5 million units worldwide.

Speaking on ‘Bedroom,’ Payne says

“I’m so excited to finally release this song. I’ve been working on it for a while and am really happy with how it sounds. It’s a bit different from what you’ve heard from me before, but helps to show where I’m going with my album. It’s very important to me to keep challenging myself, to keep pushing into new areas.”

Take a listen below…

Hmm. Liam has potential, but he’s fast seemingly like an artist that is great on paper but in practicality is a day late and a dollar short. Indeed, much of his everything feels like it would have been “hip” in 2008.

‘Bedroom,’ though not as contrived, sadly has the same problem as its predecessor: it’s vocally empty, lyrically lacking, and somehow manages to sound like it’s dated and trend chasing at the same time.

LOL ^ TRIED IT. Mrs. Zayn just needs to Come out the closet, stop smoking weed and GET OVER HIMSELF, how have you performed for hundreds of thousands of people and now your AFRAID TO SING IN PUBLIC. CAN’T PERFORM YA FIRED.

If his visuals actually delivered something s***, then sure these half-baked tracks would work. I think everyone expected something mature (either shirtless, s*** or John bMayer sensual for “Strip It Down”. Instead, we got something Lil Bow Wow would have delivered in his teens. He can’t do the Justin Timberlake thing if he’s not going to deliver the Justin Timberlake visuals.

Hold up!!! That Strip that Down trash did well?
Not only is this new song even more trash but he really cannot sing. At least his equally limited & vocally challenged wife’s songs have a bit more going for them sonically and visually that any of the tripe that he has put out so far. He is by far the worst vocalist out of all of that group that was put together to feed off the hormones of tweens.
I actually find his faux urbaness insulting.

you know what, this is the first band that I see prevailed from a member leaving. Zayn, I think felt like they were going break apart when he left. They did it very classy and they beat the odds. The song is going to do o.k leading up to the album release. Surely when they reunite 1D, It will be big.
