P!nk’s ‘Beautiful Trauma’ First Week Sales Revised Upward

Album's Lead Single, 'What About Us,' Blasts To #2 on iTunes

If the commercial performance of ‘Beautiful Trauma’ is anything to judge by, it’s apparent P!nk did not come to play.

The singer-songwriter, hot on the promo trail in support of her 7th studio album, has already seen the project greeted with critical acclaim from the likes of the industry’s top critics.  As we reported here, that fanfare was set to be reflected commercially as well as the project was initially predicted to impact charts with a whopping 300-360,000 units moved its first week.  If proven true, ‘Trauma’ would have already come in as the year’s best premiere numbers for a female.

Now, with a little help from her promo run (including stops on ‘SNL’ and ‘GMA’), industry insiders have revised that projection upward as its sales activity has outpaced their original forecast.

‘Beautiful Trauma’ First Week Sales Prediction (revised)

360-385k SPS, 340-370k album

At the rate the product is moving it’s likely it will pass the 400k mark.  As if that’s not enough good news to celebrate, the set’s lead single – ‘What About Us’ – was already on the rebound on the Hot 100 before the album’s release.

This week, thanks to added promotion, the tune is currently rocking out at #2 on iTunes charts (as of time reported).

With this, P!nk could very well be on her way to her 15th top 10 single.

She always kills it and it’s crazy that she was the underdog during the Britney Christina years

    But the only consistent one

    She doesn’t even need streams

well she will NEVER EVER be as iconic as brit and xtina .. NEVER!
They changed the game .. she did nothin’ comparing to them tbh!
I agree she’s consistent and kinda smart
80% of her sales are from her tour “tickets sales”

She stays OUT the spotlight. Always the considered the “lesser” to Britney and Christina….and she CONTINUES TO SILENTLY SLAY. She’s INCREDIBLE. Selling mega records in this climate. Talent, Drive and Still not burned out. WORK Pink.

Crazy how Pink, Beyoncé, & Justin are the only 3 from that late 90’s generation who can sell these many albums first week in pure sales & sell out arenas/stadiums with no problem. Nobody would have ever thought Pink would be the last girl standing. Back in the day she was considered the black sheep of the trinity.
