RZA Praises Azealia Banks’ ‘Coco’ Performance

Published: Thursday 12th Oct 2017 by David

This December Azealia Banks will make her way to the big screen via the movie ‘Love Beats Rhymes.’

Originally named ‘Coco’, the movie faced the threat of destruction when Banks clashed director RZA over his unwillingness to defend her when his friend Russell Crowe spat at her during a private party all three had attended earlier last year.

This week, RZA has shared some thoughts on the drama, his admiration of Banks’ skills as a thespian and his hopes for the Jill Scott-backed project.

Hit the 29 minute mark below…

Here’s hoping Banks performance in the movie will inspire her to pursue more movie projects designed to showcase her professional training and versatility as an entertainer.

For, as Janelle Monae proved with ‘Moonlight‘ and ‘Hidden Figures‘, Hollywood has much to offer multi-faceted performers keen to soar above and beyond the often fickle music scene.

Hope she uses this movie to push herself in a more positive mindset, she has too much talent to let the media fade it out
