Published: Sunday 26th Nov 2017 by Rashad

The Soul Train Awards 2017 aired moments ago.

Like previous years, this installment of the annual extravaganza paid homage to the achievements of the industry’s brightest R&B and Hip-Hop stars.

Hosted by Erykah Badu, the event (which was shot earlier this month at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas ) saw performances from the likes of Toni Braxton, Tamar Braxton, SWV, Jessie J, Luke James, and many more.

All the action after the jump…

Tamar’s wig and that one crazy eye… nope.

The cypher was the dark horse of the night. So good.

Ro, Jessie, and Luke did a good Toni tribute.

First of all, why do they have the videos automatically play at the same time? That’s just stupid and irritating going through each one to pause them.

    • Vi November 27, 2017

      Lol omg, stfu. Whiny ass.

  6. Deville November 26, 2017

  7. Bam November 26, 2017

Umm Toni what the hell was that?…first two songs were good but damn she shoulda just lipped HWME cause that damn mumbling was annoying as F*ck. Dance break wasn’t that great either but hey she looked hot as hell I’ll give her that.

    • Pink November 27, 2017

      Stop hating you dumb bit/h.

      • BASE November 27, 2017

? Right. Now let someone voice their opinion on one of its tired fav’s. It would have a hissy fit ?

    • Bam November 27, 2017

Lol I’m a dumb b**** cause Toni’s mumbling was annoying me? I’m a hater yet I said she looked amazing and performed her first two songs well? And if all you’re doing is a shimmy I expect you to not look lost like you just did a Janet style breakdown.

      @Base
Please stop thinking that you know who my fave is cause the person you think it is is someone who’s last album I said was a bore when posting a review in her sales thread.

      ✌?

Loved the Braxton sisters, DVSN, Jessie J and Luke James, and the Soul Cypher

  9. Deville November 26, 2017

RO james was s*** as singing toni braxtons seven days. what a beaut

  10. China November 26, 2017

SWV was vocally on point, clear clean vocals XSCAPE please take note.!!! Toni looked good but her vocals……as usual …struggled. Tank looked great but weak material as usual. Tamar is a dramatic drag queen and tamar should have sang makings of you with Gladys Knight or empty boxes

Luke james’ time needs to hurry up and come already! He’s one of the best male vocalists out today.

    • MUSICHEAD November 27, 2017

That lady sitting behind Toni when Luke hit that falsetto lmaooo

  12. G7Pat November 27, 2017

Bittersweet to see toni. She knew she couldn’t deliver her signature song the way she wanted so let Luke do it. He did a great job tho

  13. thanosoftitans November 27, 2017

Black Excellent. Loved every performance. Luke James did especially well.

  14. BASE November 27, 2017

  16. Kaz November 27, 2017

Tamar KILLED it !! One of the best performances of the night, hands down. And one the best performances she’s given (televised, at least). She FELT that, because I FELT it. She was singing (LIVE, too, bih) from a place of love and hurt and pain. You could tell she felt it at the end, when she really let loose and added words and riffs to the song. Yeeesss, Tamar. This is the live performance you needed to give. And need to continue to give. #SLAYMAR

  17. Croft November 27, 2017

Fantasia was awesome , why can’t she get a whole song is it to give everyone else a chance to shine . She deserves her spot in the limelight she’s a treasure that be recognized as such .

  18. kingbish November 27, 2017

SWV, Tank, Keyshia Cole, 112, Toni’s Tribute and the Soul Cypher killed it! ??????????????
