Hot Shots: More From Nicki Minaj’s Steamy ‘Paper’ Mag Spread [NSFW]

Published: Wednesday 15th Nov 2017 by Rashad

As we reported here, Nicki Minaj set Twitter alight last night when her racy cover from ‘Paper’ magazine moseyed onto the web.  Featuring the rap diva in some very compromising positions (with herself), the mag called on Minaj’s assets to grace its ‘Break the Internet’ issue – made most famous in years past by nearly X-rated shots of sextape specialist Kim Kardashian.

After last night’s tease, Minaj’s spread was delivered in full to ‘Paper’ today.  In the feature she dishes on a number of hot topics including a foiled joint project with Future, her acting plans, and so much more.

Interview Highlights

ON DOING A JOINT ALBUM WITH ANYBODY:  “I would be open to doing [that] if the time was right,” she said. “I haven’t thought too much about that, though. The only person that I’ve seen a lot of people speak on, when talking about an album of that caliber, is Beyoncé ’cause we did ‘Flawless (Remix)’ and ‘Feeling Myself’ and we’ve actually performed together. I always see a lot of people saying, ‘Oh my gosh, a joint album with you guys would be really dope,’ but, you know, those are the kinds of things that are just wishful thinking from fans.”

“I even at one point was about to do a mixtape with Future recently, [but] with me working on my album and with him doing other projects — and he thought we should be in the same place at one point to really vibe — it was hard, ’cause he was on tour and I was in the studio [and the timing didn’t work],” she explained. “So even when you like an artist and you respect their work, it’s very hard to make those types of ideas come to fruition, but when they do come together like the Jay and Kanye [project], then it’s magic for sure.”

ON ACTING: “I would love to do more acting. Acting is my first love. Of course, right now is the music portion of my life, but, you know, I can multitask. I don’t see myself doing something now that’s going to require too much time in terms of being on a set for six months, but I’m always open to at least discuss something in acting. I’ll always have the acting bug — I’ve had it since I was in elementary school. I was always doing plays and then went to a performing arts high school here in Manhattan. So I can’t see my life without it, but it definitely takes second position to my music.”

ON SOCIAL MEDIA: “I’ve always been very active with my fans, and so they expect me to speak to them when I put out something new. They expect me to ask their opinions, and they’re usually really excited when something comes out so they wanna have the chance to express themselves, and I like to give them that opportunity. But there are times where I take social media completely off my phone. I think that it’s important to deactivate sometimes and unplug yourself from the matrix, because as great as it’s been for my career, it can be unhealthy to certain people as well. If you don’t know how to control your emotions, if you don’t know how to think before you speak, it can also get you in a lot of trouble. [But] it remains something positive in my life, because even before my first album — with my three mixtapes — I was on Twitter all the time, talking to my fans about every song on every mixtape. So nothing has changed. I guess when artists become bigger they tend to shift their social media presence, but I’m just one of those artists that hasn’t done that.”

I would definitely buy this magazine cause this cover is smoking hot…My PiCat’s should definitely pick up a copy of this

Tacky and cheap. For someone with so much money, she always seem to always look cheap. She makes the most expensive clothing look straight out of Ross.

    Advice.

1.Girl get rid of your entire team. Stop wearing lace fronts and let’s your real edges breathe for once.
    2. Stop caking your face with that clown makeup.
    3. Hire a non-urban stylist.
    4. Stop acting a like a p*** star. Take a page or 2 out of Rihanna’s or Beyonce book. You can look s*** without looking trashy.

    • Fancy BISH November 15, 2017

Not straight outta Ross chile LOL…and you’re right too…plus, the timing of this is just OFF, and we all know why

    • Amber November 15, 2017

Stfu. Nicki has pulled off the toned down image, no makeup, natural hair. She proves she can do it all. Y’all hate over dumb stuff.

      • Fancy BISH November 15, 2017

But that’s the thing, she CAN’T DO IT ALL lol…go look at my comments about that New York Times photo shoot! She looked amazing…the toned down, natural look like you said…but, LIKE MEME SAID, she doesn’t pull off the overtly sexxxxy look as great as she thinks she does! Kimye broke the internet…Nicki didn’t break ish

      • Amber November 16, 2017

To each their own I guess cause it’s seems like a lot more people are showing Nicki love than unnecessary hate.

      • Fancy BISH November 16, 2017

Amber, I don’t mean to get deep, but there’s a big difference between hating vs. wanting the best for someone! Kim Kardashian’s cover is SO memorable, so pop culture, so “break the internet” because it’s so well thought out! The colors, the champagne bottle, the pose, the everything…I will forever remember it..this looks like something Nicki has already done! Say what you want about Kanye, but he certainly wants the best for Kim! And she gets it! The best photographers, designers, everything! Jean-Paul Goude slayed the mighty hell out of Kim’s cover! The woman who shot this did The Velvet Rope album cover…she slayed Janet…this, not so much! In fact, this is inspired by other photos she’s done involving “three”…my two cents tho!

I Totally Agree!!!!! EVERYONE Needs A Social Media Break Every Now & Then. I Was Suppose To Be Off Instagram For 40 Days, But It Ended Up Being Several Months. There Is Somethin’ I Wanna Say, But I Won’t Be Negative! I’ll Let Nicki Have Her Shine Right Now. The Interview Is Great & The Photos Are Dope!

    • Justincredible November 15, 2017

Nicki has NEVER a break off social media or from the spotlight ever. She’s a fame w****… The delusion! It’s like anything she says y’all believe. ?

      • DanYiel Iman November 16, 2017

My thoughts exactly especially while her brother is found guilty of molestation of his wife’s daughter!! Anything for publicity it seems!!

  4. Teflon Boy November 15, 2017

I’ll be nice, the pictures look great. I think the reason Nicki gets such a bad wrap for her p*** inspired image and subsequent photoshoots is because there is no Hiphop counterpoint to balance the scale. There is Nicki, a few similarly branded female acts and then.., No one. Lil’ Kim had a lot of counter points in her prime; Missy, Lauryn, Left Eye. The weight of Hiphop wasn’t resting on her shoulders alone. Nicki is great at what she does but what she does is too one dimensional to be all that’s carrying female Hiphop.

    • Justincredible November 15, 2017

THANK YOU! That’s exactly why she isn’t a legend. Nicki has been spoiled and force fed by the industry.

  5. Jackx November 15, 2017

I have a feeling she’s going to drop her album very soon. Maybe Black Friday

  6. Yolanda November 15, 2017

Is it coincidental that Nicki went to visit her brother in prison on the same day this magazine dropped? Is it to deter the conversation or did she trade an autograph copy for protection of her brother? Whatever the reason, its suspect. She could have simply sent a letter. Her mom could have gotten support from her husband/his father, or from her younger brother or any other relative.

  7. Tori November 15, 2017

…don’t put out pictures of you licking your own p**** and pop songs and say nobody respects cause child…

  8. PiCat November 22, 2017

I’m going to be in charge of dope house record’s when that goes thru Nicki minaj an my bro Juan I’m signing to dope house

  9. PiCat November 22, 2017
