Nick Carter has denied that he raped Dream singer Melissa Schuman in a statement issued after the entertainer came forward with her allegations.
His story below…
I am shocked and saddened by Ms. Schuman’s accusations. Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual. We went on to record a song and perform together, and I was always respectful and supportive of Melissa both personally and professionally. This is the first that I am hearing about these accusations, nearly two decades later. It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm.
Melissa claims Nick forced her to engage in a sex act in his bathroom and took her virginity against her will.

Nothing going on?? BSB has been touring steadily for many years. I’ve seen them twice since 2013. They also have a Vegas show. They are a very lucrative group with a large public following. And just because Melissa’s account is detailed does not mean those details are accurate. Melissa didn’t give it a chance to be settled in court, so now she’s free to make any accusation she desires. It’s difficult to prove libel, and that may be what Melissa is betting on. Melissa shared another story within the last year about her being taken advantage of and having to dress a certain way to try to become an actress. She made a series of bad decisions and continues to put all the blame on the men around her. Where is her responsibility in all this?

I agree. I feel like there are a lot of lies coming out and making it hard for those who are actually telling the truth. This is ruining people’s lives and this sucks. The stars i grew up watching and listening are either dying, dead or their images are being damaged. If her story is true, it really is unfortunate and no woman should have to go through that. However, based on her recollection she consistently shows that every time she could have spoke up about it, she chose her career instead. She chose fame instead of her integrity.
I am just overall disturbed by all of these sexual allegations coming out of Hollywood…I am not going to assume anyone is telling the truth nor lying. I guess I am going to remain reserved and hope that for whomever is telling the truth—that justice is properly served.
