The Predictions Are In! Chris Brown Set To Sell…

Published: Thursday 2nd Nov 2017 by Sam

Chris Brown is no stranger to breaking the rules, as such it was little surprise that he’s done exactly that with the release of new album ‘Heartbreak On A Full Moon.’

Beyond coming in a colossal 45-tracks and only being available digitally, the set arrived on Halloween – which this year fell on a Tuesday.

This means that it can only benefit from three tracking days on the chart.

For many, it auto begs the question: how are the numbers stacking up? Well, the predictions are in and tea is poured below…

According to Hits Daily Double, C. Breezy’s LP is set to open at #4 with:

40,000-45,000
[Sales Plus Streaming]
**********
21,000-24,000
[Pure Sales]

********

Not great, but not terrible considering the brief window of eligibility for this week’s chart.

Still, at 45-tracks long, has the venture been worthwhile?

Your thoughts?

Not bad for 3 days that means he would’ve done around 100k sps in 7 days and was on all the mixtape sites

I didn’t even know he was releasing it as an album I thought he was giving it away for free

    • Jasmine November 2, 2017

That is not correct math logic. His numbers are good for only 3 days. His numbers for a whole week could be much greater than 100K or close to 60K. How far he exceeds predictions will be telling.

      • Faf November 2, 2017

        No
Thats assuming his numbers would’ve remained the same consistently all 7 days

Sps for 3 days at 45k would’ve given him a little over twice that much in 7 days

      • Jasmine November 2, 2017

Yeah that is exactly what i just said but i think it would be more like 120-130.

    • ??? November 2, 2017

lol girl keeep your delusions, chrissy still would have flopped even with a full 7 days, nobody is checking for him except welfare thots, broke bottoms & law enforcement lmao.

      • Jasmine November 2, 2017

@??? No he would not have flopped. He sent his stans clear instructions on how to increase his streaming numbers plus a lot of casual consumers look at $15 for 45 songs as a bargain. If his fans follow his instructions, especially auto-replaying his album he will not flop. Besides there are millions of “welfare thots, broke bottoms & law enforcement” out there. All of my gay male friends tell me there are are like a 1000 bottoms to every 1 top so those “broke bottoms” you are talking about must be in the millions by now.

  2. Ousha-Marie November 2, 2017

Not bad for only three days I want Chris to win!!!! Damn good album! Listening now

    • Bam November 2, 2017

Then campaign for him to put down the crack pipe.

  3. Bruno Martian November 2, 2017

Haha! He put 45 songs on there because he thought that having people stream 45 songs one album would guarantee big numbers! 21k! I’m cackling. The album would have sold around 15k if it only had a ten song track list. You never can win when you play dirty.

  4. Jeans November 2, 2017

I was expecting $75-80k for 3 days but still not bad.

  5. BubblePopElectric November 2, 2017

Not bad at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if the numbers remain steady through week 2 once it actually hits shelves

    • Bey Bey Sting November 2, 2017

Not bad? The whole point of the 45 songs was so he could slay with streams because 150 plays is Equal to 1 purchase. 100k SPS isn’t bad honey. 21k pure for someone twelve years into the game is horrendous. Sucks for him.

      • Jasmine November 2, 2017

Its only been available a few days and those pure sales are only downloads.

      • BubblePopElectric November 2, 2017

@Jasmine: Thank you! Context is key here.

      • Bam November 2, 2017

When Beyoncé released her 2013 ‘Beyoncé’ album on a Friday (before albums released on Fridays) she only got three days to be tallied and yet she posted something like 600k. Chris’ music is force fed all over the radio, you can not avoid him, yet this is all he does…
I don’t care how one spins it these aren’t good numbers for the self proclaimed “Best in the game”. I don’t expect 2013 “Beyoncé” numbers but I do expect at least 200k in three days for someone with such a large “loyal” fan base. These are not good numbers.

      • Jasmine November 2, 2017

@Bam You cannot compare Chris to Beyonce. They have not ever been on the same level. It sounds like a mean attempt to make mean digs at Chris by comparing him to a superstar artist whose fanbase is pop and r&b. Chris markets to a r&b / hip-hop audience strictly so compare him to his colleages only…like Trey Songz. These are numbers are good for someone like Chris.

      • Bam November 2, 2017

        @Jasmine

Once again HE made himself open for the comparison when he said he was the best male in the game and bragged about his platinum singles. I even said I would never expect him to be doing 600k in three days but 200k is a fair expectation for someone who is force fed on the radio, on everyone’s songs, and has platinum singles from the very album in question. Since 2009 Beyoncé doesn’t even get mainstream radio play anymore. I’m not being unfair he’s just been humbled.

      • Jasmine November 3, 2017

@Bam I agree CB needs to be humbled. The nasty way he acts caused me not to purchase his new album (I might download it but I honestly don’t even have the time to listen to 45 new CB tracks right now). If he continues with his nasty b|tchy ways I won’t purchase tickets for his tour. I like artists that are nice and humble. Those kind of artists I buy their albums and concert tickets with no hesitation and just enjoy their new music. In NYC where I live Beyonce gets heavy radio play so I am sorry I was not aware that the rest of the country is not playing Beyonce on mainstream radio. To be honest I find it strange that Beyonce would not be played on mainstream radio because she has deep connections with radio producers but perhaps her lack of interviews (tv and radio) since 2009 caused that. If I were a DJ I would insist the Queen come visit my station and would reciprocate by incorporating her new and old music in all my playlists. I’m sure she gets a lot of spins still on southern radio like ATL and Houston because she is very very big in those cities.

      • Bam November 3, 2017

She might get a ton of play in NY, Houston, and maybe ATL but yeah Yonce ain’t getting no mainstream play in Dallas, LA, and from what I keep hearing many other states. It’s bizare but could be tied to her lack of participation in radio interviews and radio concerts like I heart music fest.

  6. Abel Army 98 November 2, 2017

Oh neaux! Home boy really thought he was doing something by putting all those songs on there and now look….flippity flopping all over the place while King Abel is selling pure units with ease! I pity the fool. Now can we stop comparing him to other male artists? Chris doesn’t have the range vocally or artistically to compete with anyone of substance. In fact, I truly feel that even Bieber has more to offer than he does at this point.

    • Credits November 2, 2017

I don’t know about his range these days, given that I barely listen to him anymore but I do know that his range in his first three albums was incredible. its an interesting comparison you make with the weeknd though. Direct me to a song where he hits a note in the second octave. And I just know his run don’t compare to Chris either-and I’m not even a fan.

    • BubblePopElectric November 2, 2017

First of all, a Weeknd stan talking about vocal range or substance is comedy. Secondly, Bieber was discovered on YouTube singing Chris Brown songs. He has an entire career thanks to that man. His most popular album, Purpose, remains a watered down version of sounds previously explored and popularized in part by Chris Brown. He even appropriated Chris’ bad boy reputation down to the public outrage, apology tour and on stage breakdown at an awards show. But sure Jan… he has more to offer. ?

  7. imissCHRIS November 2, 2017

i love chris brown, i really do- but this album is garbage. i guess he got tired of making good music when too many people kept ignoring it after the riri debacle. now this music sucks. too bad

    • Bam November 2, 2017

Why put in effort? Radio will play it anyway…

That’s pretty much the state of music atm.

  8. OVO Aubrey ? November 2, 2017

21,000 from someone who thinks he’s the best? I can’t even.

    • NalaYonce November 2, 2017

Honey! You better spill it. Chris’ music is lifeless and void of soul and if he can’t see how poor these sales are he needs even more help than I thought. Can anyone tell me how much The Weeknd’s last album sold first week? Oh I know. 209,000 first week pure sales. So that’s ten times more than Chris did with only 18 songs. ??????. The people have spoken. Bruno, Drake and Weeknd are the new kings. Chris, you’re done.

When was the last time Beyonce had a top ten single sis?

Mi gente peaked at #3….and is still in the top 10

      • ??? November 2, 2017

lol sorry desperate piggybacking features dont count lmao

      • LoveMyAuntKhia ???? November 2, 2017

Seems to count for Rhi and her #1’s ☕️☕️???

      • Caleb November 2, 2017

How do u not include Kendrick in that list?

      • Caleb November 2, 2017

She just had a top 10 a few weeks ago, and before that in 2016. In other words not long ago.

      • Caleb November 2, 2017

And why are you concerned with when Beyoncé’s last hot 100 top 10 was when Chris Brown hasn’t been in the top 10 since 2013?

  9. VA Is Where I Reside November 2, 2017

The Beyonce puppets know that Chris can outperform her which is why they’re always talking about sales. Your queen does the same tired routines every year and hasn’t had a number once since Obama was on office. She WISHES she could perform like Chris and you know it.

    • Queen of DeNial November 2, 2017

Use that same energy to buy Chris’ music girl . Ok? You’re coming for Beyonce when you really need to be running into your local Walmart to support Fistopher and the goons he has to pay to stop his houses from being robbed. Unscrupulous little swine you are! Let that be the first and last time you compare Chris (who can’t even outsell Kehlani nowadays) to Beyonce, Bruno, Rihanna or Drake. The only thing he is good for is the odd party bop but then again….so is Migos.

    • SayWhat? November 2, 2017

Chris can’t sing and dance at the same time. Always out of breath. Maybe he just could never do it or it’s the drugs.

    • Caleb November 2, 2017

What a silly statement. Chris Brown hasn’t had a #1 since Bush Jr. was in office. What’s that have to do with anything?

  10. Kehlani Kisses November 2, 2017

If he only did this much with 45 songs he would have done around 10k with 10 or 12 songs because over half of his numbers came from streams. He’s really out here being slain by The Weeknd. Wow.

  11. 24K Magician November 2, 2017

Can we all just accept that it is blasphemy at this point to compare Chris to people Bruno? Chris HAD talent but squandered it and Is out of touch that he thinks people outside of his social circle think he’s an icon. Bruno on the other hand gives you everything Chris gives without the drama PLUS the sales. My life actually got better when I left Team Breezy and started stanning Bruno.

  12. Lol November 2, 2017

Lol now that’s “not bad”. His fans snort the same stuff he does. And what was the purpose of putting it out on a Tuesday in the first place?

    • 24K Magician November 2, 2017

????? They’re high on his supply.

      • tyana November 2, 2017

        ITS RCA TO BLEAM.

  13. S****** Blonde November 2, 2017

Honestly isn’t that bad, I thought he was going to do 13k first week ??‍?

  14. Theman November 2, 2017

These are decent numbers without physical units out there. And this is only for three days. If he had the hard copies out & if the album were out for a full week, saleswise, he’d probably sale between 80-100k. Not including streaming.

    • Caleb November 2, 2017

With streaming maybe. Def not without it.

  15. DaveyBwoy November 2, 2017

I’m pretty impressed. Stupid realeasing it on a Tuesday IMO, but it’s really not a bad piece of work… Juicy Booty and Bite My Tounge are fantastic – promote TF out of these two!

    In other news LEMON ❤️

Lmao chile i CANT with all these lame excuses for this mega flop lol. him and fergie need to go work at mcdonalds or something. and he called himself “the best”??? lmfao chrissy is, was, and always will be Usher’s janitor lmao.

    • Credits November 2, 2017

McDonald’s and janitors, ha! What do you do for a living?

  18. iamdiego November 2, 2017

Question: Is Chris benefitting with the double disc rules? Like Outcast did with their double album Speakerbox/LoveBelow?.. Fun fact: If both disc are over a certain time length (Chris is well over both on disc with 45 songs) it counts as 2 copies sold. This could be good or bad for him. Either he will sell 11,000-14,000 in pure sales or he sell 41,000-45,000 pure sales (based on the rules). This is not including SPS btw. He should have just released multiple albums on the same day and let ppl choose the best based off of sales (see Nelly Sweat and Suit, both albums debuted at #1 & #2). At least then he would have multiple top 10 entries (on both charts BBH100/BB200), different vibes/concepts. That would have slayed.

    • Caleb November 2, 2017

No they don’t count as double sales. It only counts twice towards certification by Riaa.

  19. Caleb November 2, 2017

Considering it only was available digitally for 3 days the sales aren’t all that bad. Not sure why they didn’t just release the Friday before Halloween though.
